Fireheart now out of her armour and in a bright red dress (similar to fluttershys at the grand galloping gala). Sat down managing to get a seat on the second to front row on the north stand. Fireheart noticed that the filly's who greeted her were sitting behind her with their parents. She looked at the clock noticing there was only 5 minutes to go till it started. Looking down she tucked into her nachos making sure she didn't get sauce on her dress.
Pink Fizz Spoiler: Roll Mind/Teleportation 7 + 4 + 1 (Skill) = 12 Passed Pink Fizz teleports directly to the stage, leaving a bewildered Rarity behind in her shop. The crowd collectively stares at her for a few moments, before one of the ponies asks, “Uh…is this part of the surprise?” “I dunno,” another responds. “Just go with it.” She stamps her hooves. “Horray!” This begins a chain effect of roaring applause. ----- Lightning Chaser Spoiler: Roll Heart to comfort Fluttershy … 1 … Critical Failure. Sorry. Fluttershy glances from Lightning, to the rest of the huge crowd that have gathered. After their applause of Pink Fizz, she recoils in horror and somehow manages to crawl in between the bleacher seats and underneath the bleachers where she cowers, trying to hide her face with her hooves. [size=-3]”I can’t do it, I can’t do it, I can’t do it…”[/size] ----- Entropy As Entropy takes his seat, Cheerilee, Sweetie Belle, and Ditzy Doo all smile at him. “Sure,” Cheerilee replies. “Everypony is welcome here.” She glances at him and Sweetie Belle. “Rather than start a new game, we’ll just pick up where we left off, if that’s alright.” Spoiler: For brevity’s sake, we’ll do some Mind rolls to see if you win. Question 1: “Finish this statement: ‘Cross my heart and hope to fly, stick a cupcake in my…’what?” Mind: 14 + 3 = 17 You buzz in just before Sweetie Belle with the correct answer: “Cupcake.” Everypony knows the Pinkie Pie Swear, even those not from Ponyville. Question 2: “Equestria has one Moon. Mars has two. What are their names?” Mind: 14 + 3 = 17 Sweetie Belle and Ditzy seem completely stumped. You buzz in and state that the names of Mars’ moons are Phobos and Diemos. You begin to go into the mythological significance of their names before Cheerilee cuts you off and begins the next question. Question 3: “What is the name of the place where the scariest monsters in Equestria are kept?” Mind: 3 + 3 = 6 You are about to buzz in, but Ditzy Doo beats you to the punch. She happily exclaims, “Tartarus!” much to the complete befuddlement of both Sweetie Belle and Cheerilee. Cheerilee’s eye twitches as she replies, “Correct…” Question 4: “How many years was Nightmare Moon banished to the Moon before she returned to Equestria?” Mind: 15 + 3 = 18 Too easy. You quickly buzz in and state that she was banished for 1000 years. Cheerilee exclamaims, “And that’s the game! The final score is: Entropy, 125, Sweetie Belle, 75, and Ditzy Doo…Negative 150… Congratulations, Entropy!” As if on cue, an eruption of applause can be heard in the direction of the town hall. As Sweetie Belle sticks her tongue out at Entropy, Cheerilee states, “Oh my, it sounds like the show is already starting! Let’s get going.” Before long, you all have reached your seats only to find a white pony with an exceptionally poofy mane grinning broadly with a box in front of her. Rarity quickly rushes the stage and grabs the box from her. After panting heavily (running’s not really her thing…) her cheeks turn bright red as she stammers, “Uh…pay n-no attention to her. We’ll begin the festivities shortly. Heh.” She quickly leaves the stage to find her friends. ----- Jhera Flower Jhera’s fears were unfounded, for as soon as his cart rolled up to the show area, several ponies took notice and immediately stepped up to his stand, including a yellow-coated, pink-maned pegasus. Although, she didn’t seem interested in buying any flowers. Instead, she crouched behind the cart, glancing this way and that, as if expecting somepony…or something… Just then, a unicorn with a striking white coat and purple mane stepped up to the cart. “Fluttershy! There you are! C’mon, we’re just about to start!” She levitated a beautiful necklace toward the frightened Fluttershy. [size=-3]”No. I’m not doing it. I’ll do terribly.”[/size] She crept further underneath the cart. “Balderdash! Who told you that?” [size=-3]”Um, well, nopony… But that doesn’t make it not true!”[/size] She turned away from her friend. Rarity sighed. “Ugh, fine. Time is wasting, so I’m going to have to do this the hard way…” She clamped down on Fluttershy’s tail with her teeth and dragged her out from beneath the cart. As the pegasus continued pawing at the ground, the unicorn dragged her to the front row of seats. “I’m sorry I had to do that, dear, but how can we defeat Nightmare Moon without the Element of Kindness?” Fluttershy seemed to cheer up a bit. [size=-3]”I guess you’re right. I’ll try my best.”[/size] “That’s the spirit!” ----- [size=+1]Everypony[/size] As Pink Fizz stands on the stage, continuing to grin, Mayor Mare approaches her from behind. “Ahem!” She shoos the white pony from the stage, then clears her throat. “Fillies and Gentlecolts, as Mayor of Ponyville it is my great pleasure to welcome you all to the annual Summer Sun Celebration!” Applause from the stands. The Mayor raises a hoof, silencing the crowd. “Now, it is my understanding that we’ll be having a special surprise this evening. In fact, I’ve been informed that our very own Princess Celestia will be arriving shortly to spend the night with all of us, so we can watch her raise the sun in person!” More applause. “And that’s not all! The Princess has agreed to give all a front row seat to- What is it, Tiwlight Sparkle?” The Mayor leans toward the front of the stage, where Twilight Sparkle has positioned herself. Twilight whispers something, causing the Mayor to grin. Spoiler: Roll Collective Mind/Perception Lightning Chaser: 10 + 1 = 11 Entropy: 9 + 3 = 12 Pink Fizz: 12 + 4 = 16 Dark Shine: 4 + 2 = 5 (Just barely passed) Fireheart: 1 (Critical Fail) Jhera Flower: 15 + 1 = 16 Those ponies who are perceptive enough, or have a good view of the action (or who aren’t digging into their nachos) notice that Twilight is wearing a crown with a purple star set into it. The Mayor returns to her place on the stage and says, “Fillies and Gentlecolts! The time has come! Let us please rise and welcome Her Majesty, the great, the wise, Prince-“ Suddenly, a dark haze fills the stage and a jet black pony with a long, starry mane bursts onto the stage! She looks around at the terrified crowd. This is obviously not Princess Celestia. She scoffs, “Ah, my beloved Subjects. It’s been so long since I’ve seen your precious, sun-loving faces.” “You’re not the Princess!” somepony blurts out. Nightmare Moon glares at the audience member and levitates her from her seat. Bringing her closer, she states, “How perceptive, my little pony… Indeed, I am not Celestia. I am Nightmare Moon! And I have returned to engulf the world in Eternal Night!” “Not so fast!” a feminine voice shouts from the front row. Twilight Sparkle leaps upon the stage, followed by her friends, Rarity, Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash, Applejack, and finally (with a little coaxing) Fluttershy. “We, the Elements of Harmony will stop you!” The crowd cheers. Nightmare Moon smirks. “I sincerely doubt it. Those Elements are fake!” The Mane Six stare aghast at their opponent. Twilight’s eyes shift to her friends, many of whom simply shrug. She then stammers, “U-uh… You’ll see for sure…Nightmare Moon!” She rushes at her, horn blazing with bright purple magic. “Hyah!” She leaps, but Nightmare Moon easily sidesteps her, causing her to almost fall flat on her face. Rainbow Dash points as Nightmare Moon. “Hey! What gives?” Nightmare Moon replies by striking Dash with a dark purple beam, making her fall to the ground like a stone. Dash groans. “T-that…hurt…” She struggles to her feet. “Take it easy, will ya?” Before anypony else can do anything, they are surrounded by a dark grey glow, then they suddenly disappear. The crowd gasps as Nightmare Moon’s coat changes from black to grey and her mane becomes as white fog, flowing down her sides. Her yellow eyes stare into the souls of everypony present. Spoiler: Roll Heart of Everypony Lightning Chaser: 14 + 2 = 16 Entropy: 9 + 1 = 10 Pink Fizz: 11 + 1 = 12 Dark Shine: 4 + 2 = 6 Fireheart: 1 (Critical Fail. How does that keep happening?!) Jhera Flower: 4 + 3 = 7 Results: Everypony loses 2 Courage, except for Fireheart, who loses 3 The mare speaks with the voice of Legion. “We are Constella, the One True Nightmare. We will show this land our pain and our emptiness. Weep for your fallen friends for many more shall follow.” With those words, she disappears is a cloud of fog. Just as the fog dissipates, Princess Luna appears. Her coat is darker than normal and her eyes glow with an ominous, black light. “Ah, Our beloved Subjects. Long has it been since We’ve seen thy…” Her eyes lose their glow, and a look of worry crosses her face. “Have we arrived too early? What has happened? Where are Twilight Sparkle and her friends?”
(Ah, Luna, late as always.) Jhera dropped one of his flower vases as Constella teleported away with the newly kidnapped elements of harmony. "I don't- What just-" he stuttered. "Wow! That was an interesting show! The Summer Sun Celebration is really cool! I wish I had been here for the previous ones!" Jhera grinned at a nearby pony, but she only continued to stare at the stage in horror. Okay, that was odd. “Ah, Our beloved Subjects. Long has it been since We’ve seen thy…” Luna, who had just stepped onto the stage, glanced around confusedly. “Have we arrived too early? What has happened? Where are Twilight Sparkle and her friends?” Jhera's heart fell. This wasn't part of the celebration? Then...who was that Constella character just a moment ago!? "My Princess," Jhera shouted loud enough for her to hear, "Some character who revealed herself as Constella just teleported away with them, but is this not part of the surprise? What's going on!?"
In a flash, she was at the side of the stage! (Either the same side she already was at, or the other if a teleport goes off. Check Teleport, please for flash effect.) Proudly, indignantly, and very Fizz-like, she talked over anypony else! "Great Princess! Somepony else, wit' da name Constella came an' took yer place in da show! All da lines were da same, but she didn't really talk da same as ya do, and she stole our friends away!" She pattered her hooves against the side of the stage nervously, wildly, filled with energy and the urge to run away. The pounding was really just her reacting to trying to keep herself from teleporting out of there. "Ooooooooh, whado we dooo~ Princess?!"
((damn you quill and your cursed rolls)) Fireheart finished her nachos and looked at the stage. "where is twi and her friends at least princess Luna is here but as my duty as gaurd its my job to find and save them from whatever or whoever took them." Fireheart then got out of her seat and ran to grab her guard equipment on her way to grab equipment she barely just noticed 5 other ponies.
Dark Shine's eyes were wide open. What did he just see? "Everypony alright?" He was shaking a bit, trying to stop himself from asking questions with scary answers.
As the show began, Entropy noticed the Tiara on Twilight's head. Ah, he thought as it clicked in his mind. There was a surprise, and Applejack was a part of it, and Twilight was wearing a Tiara resembling the Element of Magic... Clearly this "surprise" was going to have something to do with the Elements. Suddenly the evil mare with a starry mane appeared where Celestia should have been. He was a bit nervous, but decided quickly that this was obviously part of the surprise. A play involving the Elements of Harmony and Nightmare Moon. And what a surprise this is! As was expected (well, at least he expected it), the Elements leapt to the rescue. Only when the dark mare spoke of the Elements being fake was he thrown off again. That made no sense; either the actor playing Nightmare was talking out of character, or something was going wrong here. He hoped it was the first... And it wasn't. The dark mare attacked the 6 friends, and then disappeared with them. Immediately, Entropy stood up, knocking the concessions out of the hooves of a rather chubby Earth Pony next to him, and ran toward the stage. And Celestia still hadn't shown! ...Or maybe she was never meant to in the first place. In either case, he rushed over to Luna, keeping his distance from her, however. He always tried to keep in mind his effects on other ponies' magic. "Princess Luna! Where is Princess Celestia? Where is Twilight Sparkle and her friends? What are we going to do?!" He began to lose composure a little, an unusual thing for a guard to do. He didn't completely flip out, though. Deep in the back of his mind, some little part of him sighed in relief at the fact that he wasn't in uniform, or he would have been disgracing the Royal Guard at that moment.
Hearing the crowd all suddenly cheer, he glances to the stage. Not recognizing the pony there, he turns back to Fluttershy. Not seeing her there in the stands anymore, he frowns worriedly and sits back in his seat. Turning his attention back to the stage again, he watches as the Mayor shoos the strange pony everypony else seemed to cheer earlier. Excited for the main event to begin, he applauds with the others in the stands. As the Mayor silences the crowd and makes her next big announcement, his applause is even more enthusiastic. He has never actually met either princess, so the news that Princess Celestia will be here is wonderful indeed! The Mayor starts to give more details, but Twilight Sparkle interrupts her. Lightning does have to admire the crown Twilight has on for the occasion, but his thoughts are quickly interrupted by first the Mayor resuming the show and starting to announce Princess Celestia's arrival, then the mysterious new figure that is now on the stage. He has the sinking feeling that this isn't part of the show. Watching the events as they unfold, he gasps when the pony who spoke up is levitated out of their seat. As the Mane 6 stand up to Nightmare Moon, he cheers along with them, hoping they are able to overcome this foe. At the mention of the Elements of Harmony being fake, his heart sinks. As the Mane 6 suddenly vanish, it sinks even further. Hearing the name Constella causes him to shudder, and meeting the gaze of the mare, he almost completely loses his nerve. It's almost as if a significant amount of his willpower has suddenly been sapped. Once Constella vanishes as well and Princess Luna appears, he sees other ponies letting her know what has transpired here. As for him, he goes over to check on the pony that Constella levitated earlier. Slowly approaching them so as not to frighten them, he asks, "A-are you a-alright?"
Lightning Chaser Spoiler: Roll Heart 14 + 2 = 16 The filly is visibly shaken, but she calms down as Lightning comforts her. “I’m…I’m fine…What just happened?” Everypony Luna takes a nervous step back as several ponies at once assault her with questions and answers. Not to mention the one who’s teleporting about the stage like a rubber, teleporting, ball. Before things get too out of hoof she shouts, [size=+1]”SILENCE!”[/size] Spoiler: Roll Heart for everypony present Normally, I would roll Heart, since being shouted at by Luna in her Royal Canterlot voice is pretty scary (just ask Fluttershy). But since she’s an ally, I’ll give y’alls a pass and assume that nopony fled in terror. As everypony stands stock still, Luna surveys the area, then points out to the five of you (since Fireheart already left to get her things). She listens patiently as you repeat your replies, paying special attention to Entropy, who she knows is a member of the Royal Guard. Upon hearing the name “Constella”, a flash of recognition crosses her face. She quickly composes herself and addresses the crowd in her Royal Canterlot Voice. [size=+1]”We must apologize to you all, citizens of Ponyville. Our sister was not scheduled to make an appearance before you until later this evening after the festivities had concluded. We are afraid that we must cut the revelry short, for a very dire matter has come to Our attention.”[/size] She steps off of the stage and approaches the five of you, taking care to give Entropy his space; even her magic was affected by Entropy’s power. Addressing Entropy first, she bows her head and states, ”We apologize, Sir Entropy, but thy Free Day Voucher has now been declared Null and Void. We are sure that thou understands.” She glances around, then says, “”It was Our understanding that Dame Fireheart was also here, or has she forgone the Summer Sun Celebration? If she is still here, please retrieve her for Us and inform her that her Free Day Voucher is also declared Null and Void.” She then examines the rest of you, as if she was deeming you worthy of something. She casts a confused glance at Pink Fizz. ”What is that creature upon thy head? It is very distracting…” Then, to the rest of you, ”We know that name, but have not actually heard it for many centuries…” She surveys the stage then closes her eyes as her horn glows with dark blue energy. You notice that seven areas upon the stage light with Luna’s magic, the very same places that Constella and the Mane 6 stood. The magic dissipates and Luna opens her eyes wide in what could be assumed to be fear. [size=-2]”Great Mother of All… It is her…”[/size] ”When Sir Entropy and Dame Fireheart return, we shall not waste any more time. The Elements of Harmony are in great danger!” Spoiler: OOC Feel free to talk to Luna.
Dark Shine cleared his throut. "So, um... Your majesty... Could you shed some light on what happened please?"
Fireheart returned armour on and rapier in hilt. Once she saw Luna fireheart gave her a salute as it was a sign of respect and loyalty to wards the royal family. "princess Luna, sorry I hadn't got here sooner but I was busy getting and equipping my guard equipment. What did I miss" ((guards are pretty used to the royal canterlot voice as they do spend alot of time protecting Luna and Celestia))
Entropy's face went complely serious. "Yes, your majesty!" he said in a gruff voice. He immediately rushed off and, once out of the crowd, put on his armor and...saw Fireheart come back. Ah, well. He should be in uniform anyways, now that he had no free day voucher. He trotted back over to the small crowd of ponies that was beginning to surround Luna and stood there intimidatingly, making most of them keep their distance from the Princess. The only ponies still next to her were Fireheart and four other ponies, all of them currently talking to the Princess or waiting to talk.
(Aha, you got ninja'd, Legion! Might wanna edit that, Fire's already with us) Jhera, sitting quietly while everypony bombarded Luna with questions, looked back towards his little flower stand. Everypony had fled, so it looked as if he wasn't going to be getting any cust- no! The Elements of Harmony had just been kidnapped, he couldn't think about business at this point in time! He shook his head in an attempt to clear his mind. "Luna..." he said quietly, "how exactly do you plan to get Twilight and her friends back? You have no leads..."
Luna sighs. The fact is, she didn’t know how they were going to get the Elements of Harmony back. The florist was correct, they had no leads. “Perhaps our sister will know. Come. We shall bring you all along so thou may recount thy experiences.” With those words, Luna surrounds you all in a dark blue aura and before you know it, you are in the Throne Room. “Sister, we have terrible new-“ Luna cuts herself off and blinks in surprise. Princess Celestia is nowhere to be seen. In a distinctly unroyal fashion, the younger princess stomps her hoof, causing a slight tremor. “Oh, come ON! Of course she’s not here when I really-” She suddenly remembers that some of her subjects are present and composes herself. She clears her throat and addresses a nearby, and incredibly surprised, guard. “You! Where hath our sister gone?” The guard bows deeply. “Her Majesty has asked that I inform you that she has gone to face…um…what was her name? Consolia? No, no…Con…Con…” Luna stares at the guard half-lidded and deadpans, “Constella?” “Yes! That’s it! Constella!” “You jest…” The guard put on a dead serious face. “I don’t jest, Your Majesty. Ever.” Luna blinks slowly and sighs. “Ugh… Very well…” She turns to the rest of you. “Our sister has a way of taking decisive action, but we fear she may not be strong enough to defeat Constella without the power of the Elements of Harmony.” She lies down on the floor and lowers her head. A bit more to herself than to you, she says, “We were afraid this day might come…” She looks over all of you. “Constella… She is our sister, Mother’s second daughter. The…’Middle Filly’, as thou calls it. She had a talent for creating images in one’s mind as they sleep. Dreams.” She glances around, as if trying to find the right words. “We believe that she is colloquially known as ‘The Sandmare’ in present times.” “Unlike our sister and ourself, she did not desire to company of her subjects. She preferred to visit them while they slept, often times leaving them messages. When she left home, we did not see her for a long time, except in our dreams. She was…solitary. Distant.” “When we…rebelled… both our sister and ourself petitioned Constella to join us to overthrow the other. She withdrew even further, choosing no side at all. When…” She cleared her throat as her eyes grew misty. “Excuse us. When we were banished, Constella feared reprisal at the hooves of our sister and exiled herself to the farthest reaches of space. She continued to visit us in our dreams, but she no longer took an active part in them.” “We do not know why she hasn’t returned to Equestria until now. Perhaps she feels that she is forgotten. We have not forgotten her, little ponies.” “We have not forgotten her at all…”
Entropy stood at attention, listening intently. When the Princess was finished, he spoke. "Princess, what are your orders? Shall I alert the remainder of the Guard? Or will you go to assist Celestia?" The black-ish unicorn was at a loss for what to do, so he did what came naturally: waited for orders.
Luna glances up at Entropy. She stares blankly for a moment or two before realizing that he brought up an important point: She was in charge now. She stands and addresses him. “We do not even know where she is, Sir Entropy...” She thinks for a moment, then says, “However, if she is back on Equestria, as we suspect, she may be at her former seat of power: The Old Unicornian capitol of Dream Castle.” She frowns. “Unfortunately, Dream Castle lies directly in the heart of Ragnarok, the land of the Windigoes.” She eyes you all uncertainly. “Perhaps what is needed is a small, stealthy force, rather than an all-out attack. We have...personal experience with such things. Stay here. We will return shortly.” She teleports away.
Entropy saluted as she left, and then turned and joined the other Guard, who had informed Luna of her sister's general whereabouts. He stood on the opposite side of the door as the other Guard, his face as expressive as a rock.
Jhera glanced around nervously. "So..." he said, "What happens now? I suppose our job is done here?" He shuffled around a bit. "But, we're witnesses, right? So we have to stay here? Where will we stay?"
