As soon as Luna was using her outside-voice, Fizz calmed down and listened, except the chuckle she gave when Luna commented on her mane. Her eyes grew wider and wider as she watched and listened. Suddenly, she got that fuzzy, familiar feeling; teleportation. That always calmed Fizz right down! In the throne room, her mouth hung open in amazement at the cleanliness of the palace! As Luna was on about the information of what was going on, Fizz was quietly wandering the background, looking at expensive things, even as her ears stayed perked up in her weird mane. Once the Princess said she'd be back, Fizz took the momentary time to teleport in an emergency comb! (For comb emergencies!) Quickly, she stuck it in her mouth and pulled it out, and went to work combing and brushing at her frizzy mane! She took absolutely no mind or caution to the fact that other ponies were around or possibly staring at her. The moment the Princess would return, if she would return, Fizz immediately teleports her comb away and stands back at attention. Her hair would look no different from before... (maybe a little wet.)
He smiles warmly as the filly starts to calm down. “You’re safe now. That Constella seemed to take issue with you saying she isn’t the Princess, but fortunately it appears as though you’re unharmed.” At the sound of the Royal Canterlot Voice, he jumps slightly and instantly goes quiet. Once Luna addresses him, he nervously stutters out what he saw happen and mentions the name Constella. With a concerned visage, he watches as Princess Luna addresses some of the others before using her magic to reveal where the Mane 6 and Constella were on the stage. He shudders as he imagines all of them back in their respective spots again, and the gaze that Constella used upon the crowd. Seeing the Princess’ eyes go wide results in yet another sinking feeling within Lightning’s chest, as he can only assume that the Luna is showing fear. If the Elements of Harmony couldn’t stop Constella, and Princess Luna is afraid of her, what hope do they have? After Princess Luna transports them into the Throne Room in Canterlot, he can’t help but look around amazed. He has never been in the Royal Castle, much less Canterlot. After a few moments, he pulls himself back together enough to listen to the conversation between Luna and the guard. Hearing that Princess Celestia went off on her own to face Constella, he wishes her the best in his mind. As Lightning listens to Princess Luna explain how Constella is related to both her and Princess Celestia, and the origins of the mysterious mare, he can’t help but shed a few tears. What an awful feeling it must be to think that everypony has forgotten you. He can barely imagine the immense loneliness. Concerned once more at where Princess Luna might have teleported to, he glances around nervously at the others gathered in the Throne Room. Watching Pink Fizz’s antics, his mood lightens a bit as he stifles a chuckle.
Luna returns to the throne room in with a bright flash. Along with her is a large, black box. Without saying a word, she opens the box revealing… ”The Elements of Harmony. The True Elements of Harmony; the ones that were used to seal Discord, banish us, release us from our corruption, and re-seal Discord. These are the most powerful magical artifacts in all of Equestria...” She pauses for a moment, uncertain of something. Then she continues, ”We admit that we are at a complete loss, but decisive action must be taken to ensure the safety of Twilight Sparkle and her friends…and our sister.” “Please, everypony, step forward.”
Jhera's eyes widened as Luna proclaimed her intentions. "Princess? Are you sure we should be using the elements? They aren't ours to mess with." Rather than not disobeying a direct order from royalty, he walked up to the box. Which one should he get? They're all different. Eventually, he just stuck a hoof in and pulled out one of the necklaces. It was golden and adorned with diamonds in the socket. Jhera thought it was actually quite pretty...and girly at that. Despite his thoughts, he put it on. The necklace fit snugly around his neck, and he took a moment to examine it. It didn't really change anything...it just looked for show... "Okay, now what?" Jhera asked.
Fireheart was amazed that they were now the elements of harmony b-team. She was the next one after jhera to get an element and she was given honesty. The necklace fit perfectly fireheart looked around and it seemed everyone else was admiring their new necklaces and one was admiring their new crown she couldn't quite make it out. A blacksmith approached both herself and entropy giving them new engraved golden armour with a little slot in it for the elements.
Dark Shine stpeed forward. He was told to step forward, was all, so that was all he did. "Yes, your majesty."
Entropy frowned at the crown (or tiara or whatever) thing on his head. Wasn't this the element of Magic? Why was he getting THIS? He was probably the LEAST qualified of anypony...even an earth pony or pegasus had more magic than HE did... Even so, if the Princess thought he should have it...well, orders were orders. Ah, the cruel irony, thought Entropy. (...How did this get on my head??)
Dark Shine looked at the one he had on. It was very ironic to him. He has worked with Rainbow Dash for about 2 years now. Maybe 3. "I can live with this." A smile was across his face, showing he liked the fact he had a chance of making his boss proud.
Digging into the box, Fizz had but one question to ask... "So, who's feelin' lucky?!" As she grabs up the balloon-shaped element and threw it on with near reckless abandon.
Upon Luna's arrival and the revealing of what lies within the box she brought back, he hangs back to let the others grab what they want. Once Princess Luna mentions the Elements of Harmony, the honest to goodness ones this time, are within the box, his mouth drops for a few moments. Regaining his composure, he watches as the other ponies go and select an Element. Noticing that Dark pulled the Element of Loyalty, he smiles at the colt. After seeing the other five with their Elements, he realizes the last one is Fluttershy's Element of Kindness. Recalling his failed efforts to console her, and how she still ended up in the performance only to get ponynapped by Constella, he hesitates to approach. "U-um... Princess Luna? Are you sure we're the best for the job? I mean... if it wasn't for me, Fluttershy might not have gotten involved in the performance when Constella took them all..." he timidly says, casting a forlorn gaze to the floor.
Luna drew back at Chaser's question. "'The best for the job?'" She closes her eyes and sighs. "No. We do not believe that thou are the best. But thou art the only hope we have now. We do not expect thee to use the Elements of Harmony, merely deliver them to their proper users. We would perform this task ourself, but there would be no one to watch the land while we are gone." She steps forward and bows her head. "We are counting on each and every one of you. If thou wishest to withdraw, we will not hold a grudge against thee, and thou may return to thy home unimpeded." "If thou whishest to continue with thy quest, we can take thee as far as the border of Ragnarok, for to venture too close to the capitol is to risk detection from Constella herself. Thou would not likely survive a direct attack, and we cannot allow the True Elements of Harmony to fall into her hooves." "Make thy decision."
Fizz puts her element back in the box and mentions; "So maybe we should wrap da box like a present to... present dem to da proper users!" She giggled at her word usage. Then she wiped her hoof down over her face and went back to a serious look, then lifted up her frizzy mane to look at the princess with her eyes properly. "Ya do us too much honor wit' dis task, princess! I can surely for-go my current job at home of... sleepin' an' eatin' to go on somethin' so excitin'! I's sure ever'pony in here would agree!"
Fireheart was the first to speak with her head held high "as a guard and protected of equestria and everything in it I accept the mission and shall not let myself and the others fail."
Entropy saluted the Princess once more. It wasn't a matter of what he wanted, it was a matter of what the Princess needed. And he was secretly kind of glad he didn't have to wear the crowny thing. He would never hear the end of it from the other male guards if he was seen in that thing. (Yes, they talk. But only when nopony else is around. )
Jhera nodded solemnly. "If for Equestria, we should all feel it's our duties to help out. We should get these delivered as soon as possible!"
As he listens to the Princess' speech, initially his head lowers a bit to the floor when it's revealed they really aren't cut out for this job. Hearing Luna step forward, his ears perk and he raises his head to look at her. At the mention of being able to deliver the Elements of Harmony to the Mane 6, his ears perk up even more and he seems far more ready for the task now. He feels partially responsible for getting Fluttershy into this mess, so if he can deliver the Element of Kindness to her, then that should make up for it. Stepping forward slightly and reverently bowing to Princess Luna, he responds, "I accept this task you have laid before us. Not only will the Weather Team be hindered by the absence of Rainbow Dash, but I need to make it up to Fluttershy for getting her into this mess. I would consider it an honor to aid in your efforts, Princess Luna." At the end of saying this, he looks up at her with grim determination. This is quite a change from his cowed demeanor up until this point.
Luna smiled upon her little ponies. This was what pride felt like. True pride... "Very well! We shall get thee off straightaway! Each pony was surrounded by a dark blue aura again and after a blinding flash, they found themselves at the edge of a field covered in snow. The border was very definite, as poor Jhera found out the hard way since his body was halfway between the warm, sun-drenched grasslands of Equestria and the inhospitible cold of Ragnarok. Spoiler: Roll Body for Jhera 10 + 2 = 12 No Frost damage "This is the very border of Ragnarok. Dream Castle lies there." She thrusts her hoof in the indicated direction. Looking past the snow and the fog, one can just barely make out the outline of an enormous tower. "The Windigoes, although easily defeated through the magic of Friendship, can still be a threat to the unwary. Proceed with caution. Deliver the Elements to Twilight Sparkle and her friends and be wary of our elder sister. If she knows of thy presence, she may try all sorts of glamours and illusions to keep thee from succeeding." She then bows her head deeply. "You have our faith, my little ponies. May our sister's light guide thy way." With those words, she vanishes, leaving the box that contains the Elements of Harmony and a nearly completeld map of Ragnarok. A line traces from the border, where you now stand, to Dream Castle, which is neatly highlighted in dark blue ink.
"AUGH!" Jhera shouted as his body was not only teleported, but forced in between two separate biomes. He stepped out into the warmer Equestria biome and shivered. As Luna finished her speech and teleported away, he glanced at the other ponies. "Tell me I'd be doing this four hours ago, I would have said you were insane." he said. Glancing at the tower in the distance, he said "Shall we go? It's best we get there as fast as possible."
"hopefully this new armours got some heat system in it don't want to waste my skills keeping myself and the others warm" fireheart said aloud but to her disappointment it didn't. Fireheart let out a small sigh and Her horn glowed a bright red trying to create a small transportable fire to keep everypony warm. ((quill, when you do a roll to see if my spell worked, it's going to be annoying if I get a 1 AGAIN))
