"I do like dancin'. Have ya ever danced da hoofarena? It's a good one, really." She crossed her eyes, not sure who she was really talking to anymore and closed them tightly. Right, she was just going to port herself over to where the voices were coming from before rolling her eyes and head around, stumbling in a trot after Jhera. "Oh, ya, dizzy Fizzie as dizzy doozy!"
"Do you even think the Unicorn Castle is even still intact?" Jhera asked as they kept walking. "It HAS been over a thousand years since it was last inhabited. I'm not too sure what it will look like now." Jhera shivered, and not from the cold. "What if there's some monster squatting in it? Open the door, walk in, and Celestia help us all..."
After the plan for him to do a quick search and retrieval for the marker in the ancient city of Pegasopolis, he nods his assent to the group and quickly looks over the map to find his destination. Once he's looked it over and gotten the route he needs to take imprinted in his memory, he takes off and starts to fly toward Pegasopolis while remaining wary to keep his distance from the equine forms in the clouds.
Spoiler: Roll Encounter 19 Lightning was able to quickly retrieve the banner of Pegasopolis, without the intervention of...well, pretty much anything. The only banner that remains is for Unicornia, which is likely located in Dream Castle itself. Spoiler: Roll “I got a feeling…” (Heart) for Lightning Lightning Chaser: Natural 20 As he returns to his allies, he gets a strong feeling that he’s being watched. As he glances around, he only notices the equine figures past the snow and clouds, but he feels something tingle in the back of his mind. Spoiler: Lightning Chaser You hear a soft, feminine voice. You can’t quite discern where it’s coming from. Probably because of the snow and wind. Lightning Chaser. I see you… I see all of you… ---- After Lightning returns to the group, and they regain their bearings, they continue onward toward Dream Castle. The way seems to have cleared up a bit and the howling winds and bitter cold ease up slightly, making the trek to the castle fairly easy. As the party nears Dream Castle, they can see that Jhera’s fears were for nothing: The castle appears just as beautiful and regal as the day it was built. The stone on the walls appear smooth to the touch, the banners hanging from the windows of the towers are neat and crisp and clear, and as the party draws closer, they can see why: Some sort of force field “bubble” shimmers around the castle, likely protecting its inhabitants from the bitter cold and wind. For being an over-1000-year-old castle, it’s been kept up remarkably well. The force field wavers slightly as Entropy approaches it, but it still holds. The group can hear the sound of soft music playing from somewhere inside the castle, but they can’t see anyone because the gates are tightly shut.
Jhera raised a hoof and knocked on the force field twice. "This is unfortunate." He said, frowning to himself. Turning towards the group, he said, "Anypony know some sort of shield breaking spell? A powerful one, hopefully; I haven't seen a shield this strong since the wedding between Shining Armor and Princess Cadence."
Suddenly, her face lit up! "WAIT!" She stood up on her hinds and held one hand out towards the force-field and another hand directly upwards... perhaps for dramatization? "Maybe, da answer lies IN-SIDE da force field!" She giggles. "Such a genius..." Landing on her four hooves she approached and eyed the bubble, getting her face close up to it. "Like a device, or a pony who holdin' it up." She wondered what it would be like to be on the other side, wondering what it would be like to stare back at her friends from the inside. Maybe it would look different, like some kind of giant fish bowl lens or funhouse mirror! Her horn began to spark, reacting quickly to her wishes, and with a crackle of orange energy, there was a burst of light around her! Then... "huh, dat's funny."
Spoiler: Roll Teleportation for Pink Fizz 16 + 4 + 1 + 1 - 5 = 17 Pink Fizz's horn crackles with orange energy and before anypony can object to whatever it is that Fizz is about to do, a bright flash happens and they all find themselves on the other side of the force field bubble. Not only that, but they also find themselves on the other side of the door. The ponies now stand in the middle of a kind of marketplace. Cheerful music is playing as storekeepers are tending thier respective businesses, and several ponies go about their daily activities, whether they are shopping for supplies for their own businesses, chatting with their friends, or simply out for a stroll. Spoiler: Roll Perception for everypony Lightning: 11 + 1 = 12 Fizz: 5 + 4 = 9 Entropy: 9 + 3 = 12 Dark Shine: 4 + 2 = 6 Fireheart: Critical Fail (Sorry) Jhera: 18 + 1 = 19 Most of the ponies are too amazed by the fact that no only is there civilization in this place that supposed to be in the heart of the Windigo Wasteland, but that it's thriving to notice that there are a few familiar faces in the crowd. Jhera, in particular, sees a pony that looks almost exactly like Rarity, minus the horn. Oddly enough, this particular pony seems to be engaged in an argument with another pony over a skein of fabric. "I need this for my dress! Unhoof it immediately!" she shouts (rather dramatically). She grabs the fabric in her mouth and yanks. "Never!" the other shouts. "I bought it, and I'll be the one to take it home!" A yellow earth with a long, pink mane pony brushes by Lightning Chaser. "Can you believe those two losers?" She rolls her eyes at the white pony and her opponent. "It's just some stupid fabric."
(It's official; your dice HATE Cobra) Jhera's eyes wiggled a bit as the nausea of teleporting washed over him. He shuddered for a moment, but his eyes widened as he looked up and (sorta) recognized the pony in front of him. "Is it just me, or was that Rarity!?" He said, confused.
((jhera's definatly right on this)) turns round to jhera, "what was that"(she didnt seem confused or headache unlike the others although fire thought it was just due to her being a unicorn and used to teleporting). other a long time fire slowly caught on to what jhera said and squinted her eyes. "if it is rarity, why is she this far from equestria and not have a horn, anyway onto the castle tommorow we need some rest its almost dark". they split up half in one house Jhera/fireheart and darkshine and the rest in a house next door. "now lets get some well earned sleep"
As he manages to grab the flag representing Pegasopolis, he quickly makes his way back to the others. He starts to relax as he gets closer to the group while not having to face any of the Windigos. The nagging feeling of being watched pervades his mind though, and he glances around nervously. Hearing the voice, which he can't discern the direction of, he shivers. Landing among the group, he remains completely silent, chilled by the potential meaning of the words. Could that have been the same voice? Is she really able to watch them? Would this whole thing end in failure? He is very troubled as he continues with the group, which collectively stops once they notice the force field. The harsh winter weather seems to finally be letting up some as he gazes upon the magnificent structure on the other side of the force field. His ears twitch at the sound of music playing, but he can't see any source for the noise. Listening to the ideas of the others, the glow from Pink Fizz's horn suddenly grabs his attention. He quickly closes his eyes just before the bright flash, then opens them once he notices the glow is gone. Seeing that they're on the other side of the door that they noticed from behind the barrier, he glances around at the new surroundings. He is suddenly distracted by an earth pony that looks similar to Fluttershy, aside from being an earth pony of course. "Y-yeah, they shouldn't be arguing. Um... you look a lot like a pony I know..." he says in reply to the earth pony.
Entropy was surprised by the resilience of the force field. Usually even the most powerful magic spells were disrupted enough to at least temporarily render them useless, simply by being in his presence. This was either extremely powerful magic, or something that wasn't entirely magic... And then they were suddenly inside the castle. Entropy saw...he saw a bunch of ponies that looked...like ponies from Ponyville? He counted Rarity and Fluttershy, at least. But then he saw how they were acting and decided that it couldn't be them. Plus, Rarity had a horn! "Excuse me," he asked the pony with the pink mane that wasn't Fluttershy, "But where are we?"
"Who can sleep at a time like this?!" She nearly shouted, turning her head in Fireheart's direction as her eyes went cross! It was a usual occurrance for her, and she quickly went to ignoring as she trotted up by the yellow pony. "Wouldn't it be jus' a riot if dey jus' tore it apart?!" She mockingly stated with a chuckle, trying to insert it as sadistic humor. She was definitely not helping, after all.
Not-Fluttershy turned toward Lightning Chaser and cast him a sideways glance. “I hope that’s not some sort of pickup line, because if it is, your game needs a lot of work…” Just then, Entropy caught her attention. “Can’t you read? You’re in Dream Castle.” She directs your attention to a sign posted nearby. Spoiler: Roll Perception (Mind)for Entropy 19 + 3 + 1 (Lingustics Skill) = 23 To Entropy, the sign reads “KRNAE JWHLSE.” Perhaps he really can’t read… Non-Fluttershy waves her hoof in a small circle. “It’s where dreams come true. Woo.” She rolls her eyes and wanders off… And runs directly into Pink Fizz. She replies to Fizz’s question. “I guess…if you’re in to that sort of thing. You know? If you think that’s funny, you might get along with ‘Surprise’.” She points her hoof toward a pink Pegasus with a fluffy, pink mane. The pegasus is harassing a pair of earth ponies by tossing cherry bombs as them. She’s also giggling so much that she occasionally snorts. Non-Fluttershy rolls her eyes again and puffs a loose strand of mane from her face. “She think’s everything’s funny.”
"Always humor in e'rything!" She grins a moment, then stops and thinks. Something seemed familiar. Like... she'd been here or seen these people before. Or that there was a certain pattern to this. Oh well! "So, what's yer name? I'm new 'ere, name's Fizz... Pink Fizz." She slides in the last few words like she was pretending to be some kind of... sly and... suave auper agent. Suddenly, she paused, and shifted her head to the side, looking at this earth pony's mark.
Not-Fluttershy’s eyes widen and she mockingly replies, “Oohh…Pink Fizz… Is that short for ‘Fizzle’? Ha!” She brushes her chest with one hoof, then examines said hoof disinterestedly. “Well, since ya care, name’s Posey. I guess you’ve never been here, judging by how you’re all cross-eyed and drooling.” She motions for you (Pink Fizz) to come closer. “A word of advice: See that gnarly, nasty old tree there,” at this, she points to a gnarly, nasty old tree over toward the edge of the market. “Some crazy pony named Twilight Twinkle lives there. Avoid her like the Cutie Pox.” Fizz noticed that her Cutie Mark was a trio of dragonflies.
"Fizzle..." She stops smiling and shrugs lightly. "Yah, dat's what dey call me when I was learnin' magic." Then she winks with a side-ways grin. "I got over it!" Then, joining in the insult game, (which she wasn't very good at,) she added; "At least me name don't make me sound like a delicate flowuh." Suddenly, her head twitched to the side and she ground on her teeth. Pausing and not listening before suddenly asking. "Any good food 'round here?"
Entropy shook his head and tried to regain his bearings from the teleport spell; understandably, he didn't teleport much, probably even less so than Earth or Pegasus ponies. They were supposed to be looking for the Princess, right? Or the other Six, to whom a few of these ponies seemed to look remarkably similar. He looked around himself for a place where he might find them. If he couldn't find them himself, however, he would almost certainly need to rely on some of the local ponies. None of them seemed hostile, but they didn't seem particularly friendly either.
