Yup, I draw stuff in my sketchpad, scan it and upload it here. I do everything with either a #2 pencil or a .5mm mechanical pencil, just black & white sketches. Although I may start coloring some of my new drawings.

Update: This I drew after looking at the concept sketches on Lauren Fausts deviantArt. I referenced the sketch "Cloudsdale Residents" for this one. I sketched this right after the Cloudsdale Residents one. RBD, no references. This my fellow ponies, is a Frost original. And before you say anything, I just got done drawing Fluttershy before I drew this, and I didn't know where I wanted to go with her hair and...this happened. She isn't really supposed to resemble Fluttershy lol. Another Frost original, this I drew a few hours ago...and I wasn't in the best of moods. EDIT: A revised version of the one above. I think the red eyes are a bit much, and they aren't looking down like I intended them to, so the meaning is slightly skewed. It's supposed to resemble a lurking darkness that threatens to pull her into the abyss, which could be caused by external forces or it could also be the darkness within herself. Not a demon or monster per say. Anyway, I think it looks better this way.
Hello everypony! I know I haven't updated in awhile. I've been going through some things -- trying to quit smoking, money issues, dealing with a bit of depression, two of my close friends almost died, etc. So I haven't really been able to concentrate on drawing. Also, I've kinda been taking things way too seriously recently (including my art)and I've kinda realized the need to chill out and give myself a bit of leniency, and to stop being so self-critical. So I'm getting back to the reason I started drawing in the first place -- for the fun of it. So without further ado, here's a couple new sketches. This is one I drew in college, I found in hiding in the back of my portfolio when I was going through it last night. My roommate and I used to be big RE fans. I dunoo why it says RE6...optimism? haha A recent doodle. I was practicing doing anime faces. She is supposed to be nervously playing with her hair, but it turns out I'm not so good with hands. Now...I know this is a bit early but...I couldn't help myself. :derpe: It's not very good for two reasons. 1. I wasn't trying to seriously draw anything, I was just being silly and doodling lol. 2. This is the first thing I've done in color, and I'm not very good with colored stuff yet. Also, I only have like ten colored pencils to work with. Anywho....HAPPY HALLOWEEN! Frost is officially kicking off all the holiday themed pony art!
Your drawings are pretty amezing. I would like to do the same but my draftman's talent are awful. I could not even make a parasprite.

Ok, it's been awhile since I updated this. Why? Because I put down my pencil in Oct/Nov last year and haven't drawn anything since. Why? I dunno. However, I just started drawing again. *yay!* I also ordered some drawing books to help me practice and hopefully they will give me the confidence that I have SOME idea of what I'm doing, instead of just winging it, and maybe I'll get unstuck from this rut and start producing drawings again. I'm working on one right now, it's not pony-related but it's coming along, problem is I think the design was a bit more complex than I had anticipated. I should have it posted in a week or two, and my books will be here Wednesday, so hopefully I'll start uploading regularly again. TL;DR? I'm going to start drawing again. EPIC SIDENOTE: I had this crazy awesome idea yesterday, so for those who weren't on chat last night around 1am I'll fill you in. I'm going skydiving with my best friend for his birthday on Thursday (or Friday?) and I was going to order a RainbowDash shirt from WeLoveFine and wear it while I jump out of a mother bucking plane! Awesome, yes? However, it wouldn't get here on time unless I did next day air shipping, which costs almost as much as the shirt itself. So I got another idea. I have a plain, light blue t-shirt. I also have fabric markers. See where I'm going with this? I'm going to try and draw this: --Onto said shirt, then wear it skydiving. I'm just not really sure the best way to go about it. If I do it freehand, I've only got one chance to draw it perfectly, which is a tall order for me. So if anyone has any bright ideas, let me know. If I can pull this off, I'll try to post pictures like right before we board the plane or something. Dunno how far I can get with a cellphone, I assume they'll want us to leave the stuff in our pockets on the ground. Either way, it'd make a pretty cool story.
There's some really nice and cute stuff here. I like the progression-from relying right on ref to the bone, to be able to draw humanizations and such on your own <3333 I like how you're working ahead on it too, the style for FIM is madly hard to emulate! Knowing first hand of course ;A; Pencils may not work the best for a shirt...fabric paint/dollar store paint may be best. Or just a decent pen Congrats on doing something this here brony wouldn't do even if ya paid her XD (hell, I won't even get on them drop zone rides at amusement parks)

The eyes aren't bad. I was never a fan of sea ponies. I know it's a seahorse joke, but I don't like them.
Ok, so the skydiving shirt idea...not happening. Was too busy. Anyway, I just got 3 drawing books in the mail, so I'm working on those exercises now. When I'm done with them, I'll get back to updating this, hopefully with improved technique and such.
I don't think the eyes are that bad either. I really like this idea of sea pony-the canon sea ponies are really weird. Tiny flippers and a HUGE head >.> And good idea getting the drawing books, there is always something to be learned from them, regradless of level. The next best thing to actully drawing is devouring reading on it <3
Thanks guys So I was lurking on EPR maybe a half hour ago and saw the album art with RBD rockin' out on a guitar. So I drawz itz. I only got to see it for like 30 seconds, so I had to improvise a bit which is why mine is a bit different (if you've seen the album cover). Also I inked and colored this, which are two things I almost never do, so yeah... I'm thinking of adding something more to this...I dunno, some ambiance or background or something. I'll have to think about it. Anyway, nothing serious yet, just boredom doodles. I'm about 1/3 of the way through my main drawing book (the other two are more about specific facial details and anatomy) so better works are yet to come I promise ha. ....and I need to pick up a new pencil sharpener cuz I lost mine and a new sketch pad, since mine has like 3 blank pages left.
