Frost's Doodles

Yeah I definitely need a bigger sketchpad, mine is about notebook size, and it's just not cuttin' it. Should be picking one up tomorrow.




Note to nobody: I am in the process of adding...stuff...to that last drawing I did of RBD. It's about halfway done, and I'm really excited about how this one is gonna turn out. It's kind of....abstract.

Alright, I'm a bit late uploading this but I had to run a bunch of errands today, so ya. Anyway, here it is.





I'm not thrilled about the colors, working in colored pencil is definitely not my thing. *shrug*

 

Well, I haven't drew anything in awhile, life has been a bit hectic for the past couple weeks, and prolly will for a couple weeks more.

Anyway, today I decided to post some older drawings that haven't been posted in this thread, as well as some unfinished ones (that prolly never will be finished)









These are all reference drawings, they've been up on my dA page for awhile.





Both Ceres and Milky Way are from MWGG, which is a concept by Lauren Faust. I referenced these (and Eris) directly from her concept sketches of the characters, to use as drawing practice. These two are done and inked, they just need to be colored.


Referenced from a cool drawing practice picture I found on the net, "25 essential pony facial expressions" or something like that.

A random pony I made up. "Raincloud" She's a unicorn weather pony, instead of a Pegasus.


Reference drawing from a screenshot of the anime Gai Rei. I've never actually seen the anime, the pic just looked cool. I never finished it due to my lack of experience with shading.


Sorry it's hard to see, it was only hashed out in very light pencil. I gave up on it a bit early.

This has been in my sketchbook awhile now, so it's a bit mussy, the graphite tends to smudge when the paper rubs together.

I was gonna do a whole background, but passed on it in favor of spending more time practicing my realism. I do plan on inking and possibly coloring it later though.


I also have a little drawing of Chrysalis that I should be posting before the end of the weekend too.

Last update was in March? Wow. I am really not on top of this thing.

Anywho, got some new stuff to throw in here. However, all these are going to be low quality camera phone pics, instead of the high quality scanned images I usually upload.
Why? Because my new sketchbook is huuuge and the pages won't fit in my scanner unless I physically cut them down to size with a pair of scissors and then do the whole scanning thing....the whole process is both tedious and annoying. So...you get crappy camera phone pics. Sorry.

Also, my internet has been rather retarded lately so I'm prolly gonna have to upload these a few at a time rather than all at once.

Same drawing, just inked. I'm almost done coloring it now... Lady Rainicorn is taxing the variety of colors I have available so it's been a bit difficult.

This one is from the episode "I Remember You" which maks mi cry evrytiem. I'm working on a drawing of Ice King and Marceline hugging with the Ice King's note in poem form above it. You'll see.

I finished coloring that Adventure Time drawing that I inked two posts up, so I'll have a picture of that soon, not sure if I'm going to add to it or not yet.

 

Alright, here's the last of em that I have so far:

First up, my first coloring attempt with my new markers. And yes, the colors are not where they should be, I was too lazy to check a reference.



For anyone familiar with Sibsy's dA page (Sibsy being Sabrina Alberghetti, senior storyboard artist of MLP:FiM, among other things) this is a recreation of her fanon RBD called Rainbow Dee.

And finally, that Adventure Time drawing that I finished coloring. Done in colored pencil - some of the colors may be off, but it's not like I'm using a tablet so I tried to get as close as possible to canon.
