Pickpear approaches Rifter, casting a weary eye at the others. "Well, uhm... I have all of my things. So uhm... whenever you're ready."
Ahem, moving on to a montage... or else everypony will just keep saying they're ready. The group experiences a strange sensation. Almost like dreaming, in a way. They can feel themselves moving forward where they make a quick stop at the Barracks where Rexar gets to leave his more important goods, and the group stops at the store owned by Red Scroll's father. He seems like a nice pony, butterscotch in color with a pair of aviator goggles and a messy hair-style, but not quite as insane as his appearance gives off. It's also revealed that her mother is missing, and she hasn't seen her for a long, long time. With that, Arc, Tex, Rifter, Rexar, Norm, and Power Surge head out with Red Scroll leading them, and Pickpear in tow. Where did Duress go? Nopony knows, and it doesn't really seem to concern anypony. After a seemingly pleasant trip through the woods, the group arrives at a large bowl-like valley that is void of trees, but has plenty of shorter wild-life. Many of them are notably pink or white flowers. The montage ends when Red Scroll proclaims: "Welcome, everypony, to the Springs of Shyanna!"
Power Surge blinked. He blinked again. "What did you do to me?" He asked. "That wasn't natural. At least I don't think I can do that on my own." He turned and stared directly into Red Scroll's eyes. "What did you do!?"
She blinked and gave Power Surge a quizzical look, eyeing him like he was crazy. I mean, he was crazy, but that wasn't the point. She dragged out an "uhh" and looked at the others nervously. "I led you to the location you requested?"
Rifter looked to Power Surge. "Are you ok there? I'm pretty sure that pressure is something you should not let get the better of you." He looked down to Pickpear. "You all right?"
Tex walked past Red Scroll, nodding his thanks, and looked at the landscape. Where should they start...? He knew this was probably a treasure hunter's specialty, and he was just a fighter, but he could try nonetheless. Besides, everypony overlooked something once in a while, and two heads were better than one. Besides that besides, Tex never EVER followed anypony blindly. ...Except for what just happened, but he didn't think that was his fault.
Tyro was still trying to check whether he was still under the affects of the plot-advancing cobwebs and haze while Arc looked upon the lush, wide space of the Springs, walled off by the forest behind. The long grasses and bushes didn't stop anypony from seeing all across the area. "Nice." Arc mutters quickly then looks to Red Scroll. "So Giggles, where too? Anywhere good to make a camp?"
Red Scroll nods to Arc. "Yeah, the Dried Springs are a perfect location for setting up camp, since the ground is pretty flat." She pulls the light wagon as she walks out into the field, trying without success not to run over too many flowers. Pickpear looks up at Rifter, then quickly averts her eyes when she sees him looking back. "Uhm, yeah. I'm okay. The entrance isn't far from here. To the North-East."
Rifter nodded then turned to the others. "Hey guys. I say we make camp a bit more North East. The location of the entrance should be there." He smiled.
Tex grunted. "We're trying to retrieve something that's underground. How will a camp that's aboveground help us? Unless we plan on coming back up out of the cave to spend the night." He padded over to the cart and looked inside. "What kinda stuff do you got in here, anyway?"
The cart wasn't covered with anything other than a tarp, so Red Scroll lifted it a bit with her teeth and mentioned; "Oh, the usual. Food... water... towels. Ah, almost forgot. The Duke insisted I take this box of old mining caps. Looks like they're all fitted for unicorns, so there's a hole in the front plate." She looks slightly disappointed by it, but says nothing more.
"Might there happen to be any batteries in that case of yours?" Power Surge asked eagerly. "I haven't had anything in a while, and I need to...recharge." He took a quick glance to the ponies standing at his left. "Anything?"
Tex eyed Surge cautiously, then turned to Pickpear. "Do we need to set up camp outside the cave? Or would it be better to take our supplies in with us?"
Arc turns around to take charge at this vital time. "We can't risk losing our stuff to a cave-in but we can't afford to lose it to the rain too. We'll have to make camp in a cave mouth." He said, looking around for a cave entrance. Tyro also giggled at the thought that they'd be al'right as long as the towels were dry.
Tyro ends up looking in the wrong direction, but Pickpear quickly picks up her ears and turns to Tex. "Sorry..." Suddenly, she broke away and trotted over to a grouping of over-grown bushes and vines. The entire area she went to was just wildly filled with plants! She latched on to a bush with her teeth, and used a little bit of her magic energy as she moved it off to the side. The group could see a small cavern passageway peeking up over the bush. She whimpered a little as she stamped on it to keep it down, and looked over it. "If... if we can get the cart into it."
Rifter shrugged before flicking out his claws. "I'll just cut us a way in!" he said before walking to the plants and slashing away at them.
...Okay, she's good. Tex nodded at Pickpear, and joined Rifter in attempting to clear the plants. Perhaps not as effectively as Rifter's claws could, but help was help.
Arc trots to the cave entrance. Then looks at the cart, one eye raised. "Yeah, it'll fit. Can we get a little bit of light in here?" He peers into the dark, looking for anything of use. Or danger.
