Depends of the band. Things like bad religion are easy to find. From the Cradle to the rave is harder.

Mainstream bands in my genres are often frowned upon (Cradle of Filth for example)
My fave bands are all 'for the music' which I love. ie. not sellout. They don't play live at all, they do what they want, regardless of what they're fans think. (Darkthrone: Death Metal -> Black metal -> Thrash/Crust Punk) I still love all their albums

Mainstream and popular are different things though. Like NOFX they're poplular but not mainstream.

Thing frowned upon in punk is crap like Falloutboy and hot topic. Hot topic is in no way punk. My hate for that store goes beyond words.

I see your point.

HAHAHA Fallout boy, never liked them. And we don't get Hot Topic, I only know of it from a South Park Episode surrounding Vampires, and the Goth kids burn the shop.

@Echo and Xan: Do not involve me in your conversation, for I am the least cool pony you will ever find. Or...pretty much the least of whatever you two are debating whether stuff is. I can't quite tell what you're debating, but it sounds like coolspeak, which I am not fleuent in...

@ Dark: So it's "Dark posts ponies" day? Cool.

Well they have a point. Hot topic does not make you goth. Maybe I'll move to NZ, no hot topic and you have The Rabble. and NZ has the Xan

Wait, Hot Topic...that's a clothes store, right...? I think so.

I have no idea if there is one near me or not, as I despise all clothing stores, especially expensive ones. I would rather get cheap clothes that are functional, sorry.

We can skip through the town in our all black clothes while listening to our respective musics.

It's a dream come true.

I would gladly do so.

Speaking of which, during a Philosophy tutorial, there was a question (had to determine if it was an argument or not)
People who like heavy metal wear black clothes.
People who wear black clothes are depressed.
Therefore, all people who listen to heavy metal are depressed.

Everyone looked at me ._.
