Well practice makes perfect. Look up some anatomical practices and get a better feel for the joints and areas of the body. That could help tremendously, and just giving up won't progress your skills at all. That said, not everyone is great at artwork. Everyone has their strengths and weaknesses in different areas.
I jacked the clouldchaser pose from Smitty and Cheerilee was just luck. Much like Trixie. That isn't the issue. My mind is blank, the only thing it comes up with are boring, generic and just down right crap poses.
Ooooh, I see. Sorry about that. D: Perhaps make an art request thread, if you haven't already? Most of my inspiration comes from other people.
Then I say sleep on it. It's no good forcing yourself to do it if you can't think of anything. Tomorrow's another day, after all. I find I come up with my best ideas while working, so better have a way to jot something down so you don't forget.
I did. People just said "draw me" thus giving me nothing more then I had before. Only person gave me something to actually do and that is so far out of my skill level that I'm not trying it. No need to embarrass myself and his OC. Also there is another issue I have with requests, but I don't feel like typing it out. It's been 17 days. One more day won't amount to anything other then another wasted day.
When I can't think of anything to draw, I usually just doodle around until I find something that strike my interest enough to draw to completion.
Then I get angry and rage quit. So them I back on square one. Yeah, I'd love to do it. There in no way int hell I could do it though. Anyone that thinks other wise obviously hasn't seen my junk. I'll post some crap that took 20 minutes
Echo, you just don't understand this: you're good at what you do. It takes you a long time to put out something good? You don't like most of your own work? C'mon man, loads of artists go through that exact same process. I've seen you talk about how it takes you weeks to maybe put out something equivalent to what another person puts out in a day, but why are you measuring yourself by other's standards? If I always measured myself by what other people are already good at whenever I try to do something, I'd be constantly frustrated. You have to do your own thing, man, because that's what's worth doing.
