    The only thing that I know about Pokemon is that Pikachu refuses to evolve.
    I must have tried evolving that damn critter fifty times when I played Pokemon Yellow.
    I never did figure out what I was doing wrong.

    Wait, sorry- I haven't played Pokemon for a very long time. I'm just trying to remember...
    I think that, when you select it in your items menu, it gives you the option Use or to Give. If so, try selecting Use. It should just evolve.

    EDIT; OOH, Just realised, you're on Pokemon Yellow. xD Don't know whether it's possible on Yellow... I'll have to look it up.

    Um...dude? The Pikachu in Yellow never evolves. Yellow was made that way, since it is supposed to imitate the show more closely.
