That's just the nature of language evolution. Words like "idiot", "moron" and "imbecile" originated as proper medical terms to describe mental retardation, but have since come to be acceptable synonyms for "fool". Somewhere down the road, new medical terminology will arise to describe mental retardation, and "retard" will eventually become another such acceptable synonym for "fool".
Does anyone know of any Point and Click adventure games that I can play to blow off steam? (preferably free but steam games are also acceptable) I've been alternating rapidly and I need something to focus on desperately. I played Edna and Harvey: The Breakout/Harvey's New Eyes yesterday and the day before and I didn't shift once. It was amazing! I'm good with horrors and adventures, I love strange/alternative stuff. I love mindf*ck games but I'm partial to cute/sweet as-well. Not too fond of shooters/military driven games unless it has a compelling story/character development. This goes for Sci-Fi as-well, (Which is why DS9 and Next Gen were my fave of the Treks.) I have played a lot of point'n'click games and they keep my hands and mind busy, so please, if you know of any that might interest me then please suggest them! I'm desperate right now!
I'd see if I could get my hands on a copy of Phantasmagoria. Watched a LP of that, and it seems like a total mindfreak of a point-and-click game, if that's what you're after. Just bear in mind it has plenty of "WTF do I do?" moments in it, but hey, what point-and-click game doesn't?
I love those moments. Just combining everything with everything, giving all of your inventory items to people/things to see if they work, Walk in and out of rooms and after forty minutes of nothing happening, check out a walkthough and then punch yourself. Aaah, Good times.
Fun to think about, but aside from the wording of the prophecy, there's nothing in the books to indicate this. There would have to be some explanation aside from "the prophecy could be interpreted this way" for it to be possible. Also, what is it with you and gigantic images? Please use spoiler tags for pics like this. ._.
Reminds me of Star Wars. Even though this prequel "Chosen One" was absolute phoned in crap, i liked how they handled it. The Jedi interpreted the prophecy of the one who would restore balance to the Force as eradicating the Sith and bringing peace to the galaxy, which ironically in the words of Palpatine, actually is a pretty narrow and dogmatic view. However, Anakin brought balance by killing almost all Jedi, thus leaving only 2 Jedi to balance with 2 Sith. What IS absolute bull is that the Jedi never figured this out before it was too late. I mean, all the signs were there... <_< "I sense much fear in you." "Clouded, this boy's future is..." "Let's train him anyway! 8D" I mean:
Jedi were pretty thick in the prequals. Which is why i kinda went. "Oh you deserve it" when they got completely destroyed.
I only like Star Wars; Knights of the old Republic because my Fiance played it and that game was whack. I literally hate everything else to do with Star Wars, Except JarJarBinks. I love him. A lot. Does that make me a furry?
I know every SW fan hates him for no apparent reason because they're all heartless jerks with no soul. (Including my Fiance before anyone gets offends.) That guy is amazeballs. What a cutie~
Which fan site? There will be billions! Also I was under the impression that most Star Wars fans hated most things Star Wars related? Give me a reason to. Go on. Do it.
