Both of those are the only brands of straight whiskey I've ever drank, and they still taste like paint thinner to me. Which of course I say rhetorically, never having been dumb enough to actually ingest paint thinner. Fireball and and JD Tennessee Honey, however, I can drink straight out of the bottle. It may be unmanry liqueur, but hey - tastes better and gets the job done.
My only purchasing gin ensures that no other individual that enters my place of residence will ever drink unless they bring their own.
Wintermute My mom tells me that gin tastes the way gasoline smells. That about right? If so, I think I'll pick up a bottle, since I actually quite enjoy the smell of gas...for reasons I can't explain.
Equating a taste to a smell, hmm... I couldn't say for sure, since it varies with the type and brand of gin you get. I personally stick to - and have grown fond of - dry London gin (mostly Bombay Sapphire or Beefeater).
If good flavor is your main concern, try Southern Comfort, Bailey's Irish Cream, or Amaretto Disaronno.
For Irish - Tullamore Dew. Much smoother and the same price range as Jameson. Use this in your next Irish Coffee. Scotch Whiskey - Try Dewars or Johnnie Walker. There are different labels for different price ranges. Bourbon Whiskey - Maker's Mark Canadian Whiskey - Crown Royal Now these are just ones I've tried. There are a lot of other ones and it depends on how much you want to spend. I can't stand Jack Daniels unless I mix it with Coke. And most of those up there make different labels for different price ranges. You can find a lot of them for about the same or less than Jack (which I think is always WAY overpriced for what it is).
I've never been a drinker. My tolerance for alcohol has always been really low - I don't get buzzed; I get headaches instead. Also it makes me need to pee a lot. I'm still a little kid as far as drinks are concerned: I like the sweet things.
I'll look for Tullamore Dew next time I'm in the liquor store. Thanks for the advice. Makers Mark is good whisky, but it's not good enough for me to want to pay nearly twice the price of a bottle of Jack. As for Canadian whiskey, I never drink it, because 'Murrica.
You probably eat only Canadian bacon though. American bacon isn't what you think it is. Sent from my SHIELD using Tapatalk
American bacon, also known as "real" bacon, is made from pork belly. It's smoky, greasy, and delicious. Canadian bacon, also know as "ham," is made of pork loin. It's not as smoky, very lean, and a necessary ingredient for making Eggs Benedict.
