I met a very unpleasant cab/taxi driver yesterday and previously on a seperate cab trip, I'll repost my Facebook rant on this, I hope nobody minds! "For those of you that use 289 289 cabs, BE WARNED. There is a cab driver, white, male, British, bald, who will ask you personal questions like "Where do you work?" and then turn his nose up at you, but he will also take alternative, longer routes to your destination, overcharge you by a couple of quid and generally be a dick. Also, I took Roxy in a cab today, and he took us to our spot, charged us 8.00 when the trip usually costs 6.50-7.00, and then he complained about some hair on the back of the seat, demanded rudely that he needed to charge us extra (even though it's HIS CHOICE whether he will take animals! and he already overcharged us!)and then we had to hand over £10 for a 6.50 trip! I've called the company, their sending the details to management and they should have it within a day or two. You'd better believe I am getting our damn money back." So then, later that night, I got a call; "Got a call from the night manager of 289 cabs, apparently, the taxi driver said Roxy SOILED IN HIS CAR. Bull****, She was at my feet the entire time, so if she did by some slim chance take a dump, I would have smelt it, and it would have been on my shoes. I told the manager this, and he did say it sounded far fetched, and that the taxi driver is actually getting multiple complaints and is notorious for things like this, as the manager told me! Also, he asked what kind of dog I had, I said a short legged Beagle, and he commented saying that they aren't long haired dogs and that he was exaggerating. He told me to leave it with him, and he'll call me back within the next couple of days. UNBELIEVABLE." And that's why I was so angry, but after I got the second call, I was practically laughing all night!
Driving a cab is a fairly easy job to get, and rarely requires background checks or drug testing. As a result, it attracts some fairly shady characters. You definitely did the right thing by calling the cab company. A lot of cabbies cheat passengers because they think that nobody will care enough to get angry over a few bucks. Meanwhile, they're cheating people out of hundreds of dollars every day, a lot of which goes right into their pockets. Hopefully, now they're aware of the problem, the company will take care of it.
Now i'm thinking. If you get fired as a cab driver, where the hell do you go for a job? :v Probably that one shabby pizza place on the street corner with the half-lit neon sign and a fat sweaty italian chef who doesn't speak english.
nice memes tho Meanwhile, we're having (surprisingly) warm weather here in Britain P). Had a pretty cool thunder storm last night to top it off. Watching lightning can be surprisingly entertaining
Man, you just never know why some people are so obnoxious. Aw man, if I wasn't broke you'd best believe I'd be on top of that! This has been THE game I've looked forward to, ever since the day the title was even announced.
Anyone else think that because of the situation with ML17 being shot down by the Russians (I'm not calling the Ukrainian Separatists anything other than Russians. Because that's what they are, and what they wish to be.) and the black box of the flight being sent to Moscow, that some reaaaally bad **** is about to go down? There's a tension in the air here in Texas. Everyone is talking about it. People are scared of war.
There's always tension and fear of war in Texas... You can't even fart in someone's personal space without getting shot for it. :-/
Huh. That thing. I think I heard it mentioned at work. Not very much though, I'm getting the sense that people are really getting tired of this whole 'conflict'. At least, from what I've seen here. Sent from my SM-P600 using Tapatalk
They had cameo appearances in almost every episode. Every time they were "climbing" the obviously horizontal building wall, the super-secret guest star would pop out of a window.
