I'm going to start hosting raffles/giveaways soon for pony stuff, but I don't really know what to give away for prizes. Plushies? Brushables? Blind Bags? T-Shirts?

You know what kind of contests I like? I like the "guess how many somethings are in this jar." I've won so many of those when I was a kid.

I had a raffle site once before and would like to start one again. It was fun but didn't last long. People come and fill out a 1-2 page survey for an entry and after a certain amount of people enter, a winner is drawn. Back then I was just giving away gift cards, but I think it would be much more fun to do it with the brony community. It's too bad I'm so poor and managing a website, not to mention my lack of knowledge in the web design field entirely.

People filling out those surveys gave me the money I needed to pay for the prizes. If I was to just host a random giveaway here I only have enough funds to support one prize.

It's alright. I would like to start the site rather than just do one small giveaway here that wouldn't even be remembered. I already have everything I need except the knowledge. I ran my last one so poorly which is why it didn't last. When it comes to managing a website and finding a host and a script and whatnot, I'm worse than a beginner. I just can't learn no matter how much I read about it.
