Now for a couple weeks of aftermath before things calm down completely. - - Auto Merge - - As far as that goes, I can understand shipping that has things in the show that could be construed as hints. Like TwiPie because of the events of Feeling Pinkie Keen, AppleDash because of Fall Weather Friends, RariShy because of Green Isn't Your Color. What happened wasn't romantic, but I can at least see where the pairing comes from in terms of the show.

Then I'm afraid those kind of fanfics don't interest me. If the very premise is pulled out of someone's butt, my mind will be screaming protests every step of the way. Coolio. And now I go to work.
^ This. They will not tread on that territory on the show itself. Enjoy the fan fics and enjoy the fanon part that they are. They are about being creative and expressing yourself and what you like and enjoy about what you see in the characters. Read & watch what you like and don't read or watch what you don't like.
I personally don't mind shipfics, but I don't like shipping in general. I mean, I can understand the appeal, but when I have people tell me 'OMG *Insert pairing here*' FIC IS SO GOOD READ IT OMG' every 3 moments when I try to avoid it, it gets annoying. Obnoxious shippers I hate, but I don't mind shipping all that much. And the next person that says TwiDash makes complete sense as a pairing to me is getting a nice chuckle. They're polar opposites.

but that's the point of fan fics. Do things the show won't/cant do. TwiDash is one of those things. Some are good and some are bad. Marston's friend did a good job on the one shot TwiJack story he had.
I don't really care for shipping. If people want to ship, they can ship. I don't personally ship (except me and Sparky).
Let people have their fun. As I said before, don't read it if you don't want to. I do agree however that they should not try to force you to read it either. It should be your choice, but please don't look down on their choice. Constantly telling them how much you don't like it is no different than them telling you how much they do like it. Respect the different viewpoints.
