If that's true I can guarantee you it's not because of the colouring, my main strength is shading, which is handy since you can make even crap drawings look ok-ish with decent shading :derpe:. I have drawn a lot of trees over the years though.
Well time to hang up the tablet. Xan is best artist. I'll run home during lunch and upload my WIP thingy. -- Sent from my Palm Pre using Forums
Very nice use of negative space, really focuses the viewers attention straight to the tree. And the chaotic colouring accentuates the fact that this is not meant to be a beautiful tree but instead something much more sinister. Great work Xan, I can see that you've put a lot of thought into what is such a seemingly simple picture.
Omg, I should totally stream me being a flank of myself with drawing. btw, thats with touchpad, not mouse @Doggy, thank you very much! I knew someone would understand
Don't tell anyone but I got straight As for art at school by making **** like that up. We would be given an assignment to draw something to do wth a certain theme or emotion or something, but I would just draw whatever I wanted then make up it's 'meaning' later.
It's a really basic way of colouring but I think it turned out quite well considering. It's a bit dark, but it is from a night scene so, yeah.
Never mind. I'm not competing with that. Your tree wins. *throws phone* -- Sent from my Palm Pre using Forums
Why thank you Xan, like I said, shading's my strong point. Oh don't you worry, they're coming, though they'll be the last part so not for a while. D: But, but I wanted to see it
I was just being a dramatic whiny baby. I'll be home in 10 minutes. Geez, I thought people knew that about me. -- Sent from my Palm Pre using Forums
