I like strategy but not the turn based...Its sorta....odd... I prefer real time strategy..Where you can defend from attacks.Instead of standing there like an idiot. Speaking of RTS..i kinda want to play SW EaW now...
I am currently set on Fo3 and NV, and Runescape (I know it's an old game, but it still has some good in it, like any game (other than naruto)). Besides, in HD, Runescape looks AWESOME! It looks better than WoW sometimes!
I know what you mean, but RTS is for fast-thinking people, and TBS is for slow-thinking people. I definitely think slow. But it's just 'cause I take my time making decisions.
True...Like in EaW when a Star Destroyer suddenly shows up at your base..your first reaction is"OH BUCK!!!*Sends missile cruiser*"Gotta think fast there. And that is why i keep my fleet near my battlestation.
Note to self: Don't go running around a park in jeans....dummy. RTS games? Like LotR: Battle for Middle-Earth? I love that game.
I like turn-based strategy more because I have time to think through my decisions. Not so much Final Fantasy, which is probably more what turn-based strategy is thought of, but I like games like Fire Emblem and Civilization IV, because of the tactical challenge. I mean, in games like Final Fantasy both sides of a fight just stand there, unless they are attacking, in exactly the same position for the whole fight. I mean, you can't flank the enemy. You can't route the enemy. There's no accounting for distance (archers are just as close to the enemy as the melee fighters, for example, just more dodgy) and you can't use position or terrain to your advantage, or at least not in the normal fashion. In Fire Emblem (at least, in Radiant Dawn), you get bonuses for being in fortifiable positions, penalties for attacking higher ground/being attacked from higher ground, speed is separate from movement speed, and you can actually field an army instead of just four heroes (but you could do either). Once one of your soldiers dies, he stays dead; you can't get them back for the rest of the game. I haven't found a game that I like as much as Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn yet! However, that is not to say that I dislike Final Fantasy or RTS games. They are fun, but I suck at most RTS games. :derpe:
