You don't need a camera, you can just use the messenger.

 

Needed to do a mind map today, one of the things was "likes", was so tempted to write ponies. Stupid un-accepting class mates.

And, as mentioned Lumina, you don't need a camera - I don't have one or a mic even! Just jump on and chat. Loads of fun! Tho I'm usually only able to get on Friday or Saturday nites.

 

Skype is purely yummy, when you use it properly.

 

In reference to the Skype conversation, I'll repeat that a mic and/or camera are not necessary. I never use video, and seldom use the mic feature. The only time I'll ever use the mic is when it's with a select few that all have mics, otherwise, I don't enjoy talking. So, text chat the primary chat I've used, and it is lots and lots of fun! So i go there to get a tooth pulled out, and as it turns out, he can't get it done. (<-- wtf?) Then he leaves the job HALF DONE, there is litteraly a part of my tooth missing now, and he tells me to make an appointment with a specialist. Isn't HE supposed to be the specialist?

I'm missing Skype then again, It's kinda not helpful when Skype doesn't have a TTS and you can basically hear my Microphone 24/7.

Then again, I don't use a headset so your just going to hear alot of randomness whether it is Speakers, Background Sounds, Etc...
