You'll love Dark Shadows if you like Johnny Depp and/or the gothic aesthetic of Tim Burton's films. Try to see it in theaters if you can. It looks awesome on the big screen. The Avengers is OK. If you like Marvel superhero comics I expect you'll love it. Supposedly there are a lot of references, in-jokes, etc. that mostly hardcore Marvel fans will get. The best thing about the movie is the suave and utterly charming Tony Stark. Makes sense seeing that Iron Man is my favorite non-Batman superhero movie.
My friend made a connection between Iron Man and Rainbow Dash. Self loving and rich, but there was a pretty big list of similarities.
