Wow, I didn't understand a certain aspect of negative exponents, so I had to have a 20 min long discussion with my dad before I understood it XP I certainly hope that that doesn't happen in the test, I still have so much left to revise! I'm gonna be here for a while, I think anything that I understand I'll go over verbally and anything I DON'T understand I'll work out properly, so I save time...
Yeah, i hated maths with a passion, i tried to do as best as i could and i still don't understand it at all!
Negative exponents? Easy. 25^-1 = 1/25 25^-2 = 1/(25^2) = 1/125 And so on and so forth. Maths is brilliant. No idea how anyone can hate it.
Most of the reason i ended up hating Maths was the classes i was stuck in really, Boring ways of teaching mostly.
Yeah I now understand negative exponents, my mind just needed to me woken up, but I still don't like maths because of the huge questions we get, although I will admit it is very rewarding to solve the equation.
Once you remember all the different kinds of exponents it becomes quite simple. My maths lessons were actually somewhat interesting. Although I have an interest in the subject so I can't really speak for anyone else.
My maths teacher didn't like me much, So maths lessons were pretty interesting. :3 I've chosen to do it in Sixth Form, and although I don't think he's doing Sixth form maths, I might have a teacher who dislikes me more. I'm not very popular with the maths department I don't think. Nonetheless, it should be two years of FUN FUN FUN! XD
One of my Maths teachers was annoyed by me whilst the other loved me (Mr Veale, you were a legend). However, neither of them will be teaching me in sixth form sadly.
Eppppp!! Math! I was never really good at math they label me as slow with math I was suppose to be put in the slow classes but i got the advance classes and was put in the slow English classes
Um, what is Sixth Form? Some kinda math? Or a class? Or a grade? ????? Heh, only thing I'm "slow" at is art. I am TERRIBLE at art. :/
Mr Veale, I think disliked me because of his religion... There's something in the bible that says I'm a bad person. XD Mr Powell is the other teacher who disliked me, mostly because he's Mr Powell. He disliked many people. Thing is, he's head of Sixth form too. :s
Wo, you gaiz go to same school?! Luckys... everypony I knew that I convinced to come on here was on for like one day.
Sixth form is the British equivalent of American High School (I think, the education systems seem to differ by quite a bit). As for A-Levels, I'm doing Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Computing. I loved Mr Veale, mainly because he bought us chocolate and I played countless hours of Pokemon during his lessons. Then again, I played countless hours of Pokemon through most of my lessons, including PE. As for Mr Powell, he wasn't the kindest teacher. I remember I asked him if some of his pupils could take part in a survey and he got really angry and shouted at me. Those were the days...
aww well sparkypony I can make a hay smoothy or get you coffee if you want. and i was great at art my art teacher was also my photography teacher and he had the most wicked tattoos, my English teacher was shorter then me, the other was a professor at a university and the math teacher was a football couch
