And what was detailed about it? Panties? I brought that up. Was that to far. Then tell me, don't close the thread. What made it an issue? I still don't see it.
You aren't thinking hard enough. It was 3 things. NSFW discussion. A dupe thread (Of a LOCKED thread that started an argument!) And a source of tension. That's all you need.
I don't think it was the details of what was actually posted. But it's already been said by other users that they do not like clop. And they don't want to see clop, or anything to do with clop ie: the thread. Sure they don't have to go in it, but it's now stuck at the top of the Community Discussion forum where they'll see the title. Some people hate clop in any form, or even the mentioning of it. Why take away from their enjoyment of the forum with a topic that in all honesty, really didn't matter to the community all that much? There shouldn't be a reason why ANYONE should feel uncomfortable with coming to this site.
This was my point. You can be totalitarian and close threads when it is deemed to, but don't be surprised when discussions of this sort then come up as a result. I just take issue with going to the final solution before using other less abrasive alternatives to steer the discussion away from what pushed it over the edge of being acceptable. I agree, it makes me wince whenever I look at it. Anyhow, as a parting gift I shall attempt a subject change. Yay! So I might be taking OC requests soon. And/Or doing an "Ask Legion" thread. Even though I may not agree with closing that thread, it is not a big deal to me. It was starting to derail anyway. Personally, I don't think it was necessary to close the thread entirely, but I fully understand the reasoning behind the decision and respect it.

I was talking about the people who complained about the thread, which resulted in it getting locked. I wasn't directly talking about you. But yes, the argument has ended, I just wanted to point out my views on it.
