It's a sad day. Echoax has left us and Marston is considering leaving too. It's up to them at the end of the day, but they will be missed. As for the whole Pixel/Echo thing, I called him what he wanted to be called. It was his username so he had a choice to decide what he wanted to be known as.
You'd be surprised at how many mixed emotions I'm having with this. We lost a great member today... and the majority of it is my fault. I think you may be seeing my resignation soon.
My hope from all this is that heavy handed decisions are thought about long and hard before being made and alternative, less abrasive measures are considered first. I agree with Yami, I feel like the name change was melodramatic, but still. I respect his wishes, and if he wishes to be called Echo, I'll do that for him. I feel really bad about all this, but frankly I think the only one who can help him right now is himself. Nopony else is likely to make him see what we see; he's going to have to make that decision himself. And, as much as I love him, he seems to be causing a lot of stress lately. Perhaps him leaving for a while is the best temporary solution there is, for both us and him. And I was going to rant because I'm feeling quite stressed myself right now, but I can see this would either upset the situation even more or make me look like an attention hog. So I apologize if I have been too blunt, but really that's kind of how I feel right now. I've not had much rest, not at night nor in the day time, and I've had to deal with the most annoying little cousins one could have. (Or maybe not, I'm not all that good with little kids who can't think rationally, so it might just be me.) So I hope you can understand that I'm not in the best of moods right now and... Oh look at that. I went and ranted anyways. I will stop typing before I say anything else that is likely to be counterproductive to this discussion.
Other things. Such as the hypocrisy he and Tenor pointed out on the Homestuck thread.-_- I apoligize if I seem crabby right now. I just really miss him, that's all.
Of which has been taken care of by myself. There is no excuse for any type of rulebreaking, from -anyone-. I do not go to the Homestuck Thread (Because I hate Homestuck) so I didn't notice the gore/blood in it. If I had, I would have taken care of it even if it was posted by a mod.
