It's a ridiculous bill that violates basic human rights, it's disgusting and immoral. However, it won't pass. No way.
SOPA - From what I know, it sucks. I'm sure it'll become law, though. Stupid, corporation bought government. SOPA stands for Stop Online Piracy Act. Stupid, stupid, stupid. Grr.
Hmm at first I though that the big corporations would push that bill through however, now with this wall street stuff happening I am not so sure Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
@DRD I would adore 8GB of ponymusic. @GreyOne I can't brain right now. I have the dumbs. If the government ever censors the internet, I will die because then there goes my freedom to post my stories on DeviantArt. I'm a writing major, I need a place on the internet to flaunt my creations dang it!
I am also talking about this from a Canadian perspective. however this bill won't just effect USA but also any Internet website based out of the USA such as YouTube ( I have heard ) @Grey I agree with money not speaking to me either however this is a large government not a person with some decent morals Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I said if you don't have a mic, go on chat. If you do have a mic, go on setup and do all the settings and stuff. ... @Blize; Enjoy. http://www.ponychan.net/chan/media/res/22267.html
No? I find it saying, "Ha, ha! You don't have us! You don't have us!" Just kidding. But it does speak to certain types of individuals - and these same certain types should not be in a position to make our laws.
@DRD Wow! Thanks! My head may very well explode. Alas, tis a torrent, which my school for some reason or another firewalls out of the system. Luckily I go home next week for November Break.
Why is livestream lagging so much? I have $400 internet, it should be crazy f... *sees bitcomet up rate* Oh. Currently seeding MLP episodes at 4.5MB/s up. Enjoy.
Clearly you should start watching MLP with max volume. Will get you all the attention you ever need. Possibly all the medical attention as well.
I watch it loud enough for my room mate and best friend to question my sanity more than they already do. Surprisingly no noise complaints yet...
Well, that would be ideal. Unfortunately, if they weren't those sorts of people, they wouldn't be very successful as politicians. As it is, we have to deal with a series of Democratic and Republic Scrooges--at least in the United States. Perhaps it's different in Croatia. Regardless, that's not so bad. Congressmen, being rational animals by and large, will prefer their long-term, unrisky prospects to the short-term, risky (read: highly illegal) bribes they might accept from lobbyists. Therefore, all we have to do to win is make it seem realistic to them that they will lose their jobs if they vote for this wretched copywrong bill. Of course that would be nearly impossible to do if we were not willing to make that issue #1--which we are not. Precious few of us, I would think, would elect someone to office whom we despise by every position except that he happens to not be the person who voted for a wretched bill. Thus, this problem is not one of particular bad politicians or even a system of unfair lobbyists: no, it is a failure of democracy itself since democracy demands compromise of its people and governments on the topic of everything that government does. Thus, even an issue like internet freedom will not be sufficient to oust a legislator when his opponent is more repulsive to his constituents than him. It is no coincidence that Congress's approval rating is 13%, yet few will lose their jobs next election. Which is why, in my mind, the only way to create democratic government pleasing to most people is to make the sphere of that government's power very small.
