Whelp time to go guys. Classes restart next monday so I'll be getting up at this same hour, better fix my biological clock! At least I'll be chatting a bit more with you due to timezone differences. :3 Love ya'll!
Well I'll just say I prefer being cold to being hot. Especially at night. The quantity of blankets will be increased!
Gah! I really need to get my English grade up to an A if I'm to have a good chance of getting a job that involves TEFL!
Got my coursework results back! Got a B overall for the first half of my English AS Not sure what I got for the individual pieces of coursework, but at least I don't need to worry about redoing them. Now I just have poetry and the Great Gatsby to work through until June... What texts are you studying? I did To Kill a Mockingbird, Great Expectations and An Inspector Calls last year. TKAM was a killer, but I got a solid A for my troubles
We're studying a fair amount of poetry right now. My main trouble is with my English Language coursework, because they're only getting Band 3, which is definitely not what I'm looking for.
I had an exam today on 'The Woman in Black' and 'Of Mice and Men'. I thought I got atleast a B which is alright considering I couldn't care less about English. Also, here is a baby monkey riding a pig: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5_sfnQDr1-o
Okay, that's creepy. My english teacher loved that video, played it nearly every lesson. My class went to see The Woman in Black, but I stayed home 'cos I was ill :\ As for Mice and Men, I read it when I was 8. Great book, but ended my childhood real quick. Also, you may have seen this poster: That guy right there is my English teacher. No joke, they're identical.
"Well, [NAME REDACTED], I sat in a poster looking creepy, ready for 14 to 15 year olds to analyse me."
By the way for those of you who haven't read Of Mice and Men, this video sums it up: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GebMPnUUg44
