If it's water based, water or steam can be used. If it is solvent based then you may have to try spirits. This isn't much help but I tried.
Sorry, no idea. Haven't really got much experience with PVA, I tend to use hot glue for everything. Which is fine until you leave the gun on overnight and you wake up to a puddle of bubbling glue eating into the stuff on your desk and the smell of burning. But hey, hot glue's amazing. It'll stick anything to anything else permanenetly, and only takes minutes to destroy your fingers dry.
You'll probably end up having to use mineral spirits. Before you do, get a mask and ventilate, the fumes can get really bad.
I'll admit, I love peeling of PVA residue. Peeling of molten hot glue is normally accompanied by more crying and cursing, which really spoils the fun. Another use for hot glue! It makes a really great filler if you pump it into a hole and rough it into shape with a blade and sandpaper. Helmet gap instantly fixed.
> Tries to peck bits off the floor > ALMOST THE WHOLE BLOODY THING COMES OFF THE CARPET IN ONE SWIFT PULL. I've got like a large, flat white piece of PVA glue. It's so smooooooth. o_o The family fanfic's gotten to one of the most commented fictions by the way guys XD (I think I'll use whiskey on the remaining PVA, that's a spirit)
View attachment 3225 I just had to X3 *EDIT* Anypony else see the new banner across the very top of the forum?!
Many reasons. 1. Duct tape looks nasty when it's slathered over cardboard. 2. Duct tape doesn't last long, it peels after a while. 3. You can't use spraypaints or primers on duct tape, it ruins the finish of the helmet. 4. I'm going to apply a thin layer paper mache over the cardboard and then smooth over any bumbs with sandpaper, and duct tape would just get in the way and stop the paper mache from sticking. Duct tape has many uses, but a filler is not one of them. Eeyup, I like it a lot. A lot tidier than the last banner, that's for sure.
Yeah I wasn't being serious, I just like duct tape. I didn't mean to come across as serious. Anyway, I've noticed the banner. It looks great. Good job guys/girls (if any).
