Noticing Cameron Jane excused herself and moved over to sit next to Cameron. "Hi, I saw you were alone, so I was wondering if you wanted to sit next to me and Allen over there." Jane smiled as she slid her lunchbox on the table. "My names Jane Shephard by the way. Recently moved here from England."
Cameron tried to hide his surprise when somebody did come over to him, someone finally taking the opportunity to get to know Cameron. He looked at the beautiful women next to her, words rushing at his head at a million miles an hour. Eventually, he smiled back at the women nearby him. "Oh...hello. I'm Cameron Emmerson, I'm used to live in Adelaide in Australia."
"Cool, at least I now know someone else from the commonwealth. You know I've already got a nickname in my media class, Commander Shephard. Anyway how are you finding life here and what was life like in australia. I went over there once but didn't get to see much apart from england annihilating the ashes." Janes voice was extremely friendly and sincere as she was genuinely interested
Allen sighed as he found himself alone again, "Eh...nothing I'm not used to..." He quietly said reassuringly to himself before simply picking up his lunch and walked out of the cafeteria, might as well get a head start to his next class before the bell rang. "Let's see..,English..." He muttered as he looked at the schedule sheet to find the classroom number. Quietly making his way through the halls, he suddenly realized that most of his classes were...well going to be easy. He was a sophomore last year down in Texas after all, and he came from the hardest (academically and all) school in one of the hardest school districts in Texas. He had already learned the vast majority of what he was to be taught, but was still silently thankful for his dad choosing to hold him back a grade here so that he was with kids more his age, he'd gone his whole life being the youngest of his grade, it'll be nice to be one of the oldest for a change...
Joshua was readied for the next class, English 10, this was not going to be easy for him. Before he had left Kansas his English was a surprising 69, a D. Of course, he made a little perverted joke out of the grade, and if all of his classes were easy then that means this in particular one must be easy as well… he hoped.
Clare sat in the hallway, reading a book. She heard footsteps coming from either side of the hallway, and focused more on her book. "More seniors..." she thought in dread.
Joshua walked down the hallway with his headphones on while playing YOLO by the Lonely Island. He sang, and his voice was great. He didn't care who was listening, "You know that we are still young, so don't be stunned, don't trust anyone, because you only live once."
Allen arrived at the door to his English class to see the girl who the senior had so rudely treated sitting by the door reading, sighing, he walked over to her, his concern outweighing his shyness, "Hey, you alright?" He asked, leaning against the wall, "I can't believe how stuck up some people can be.,,"
Joshua quickly put away his PSP as one of the teachers passed, he was in a hurry for something. Josh spotted the other two people from the cafeteria. He made his way to them, greeting the guy, "Hey, names Joshua." He said as he extended his hand out for a handshake.
Allen was taken off guard by Joshua's sudden appearence, this was the third random approachmeant he had gotten in one day, he was not used to this, "Uh, Allen." He said slowly, shaking Joshua's hand before adding, "It also isn't nice to interrupt when people are talking..." He added quietly before looking back to Clare, "Well, it's good that you're alright. What's your name?"
Joshua had no clue what he was doing before realizing that the two were talking, "Oh! Um please forgive I think I'll go…" Josh thought for a moment both angered at himself and confused, "This way!" He walked off to someplace random.
After a nice chat with Cameron Jane headed off towards maths, a subject she was not looking forward too but she needed it if she wanted to go back to the UK for university. As she noticed clare and Allen as well as a guy she didnt know. Noticing that she had ariund 10 minutes before the bell went she decided to approach them smiling. Making sure to not interrupt them.
Clare got suddenly embarrassed by all of the people surrounding her. She pushed herself farther into the bend, trying to make herself invisible.
Allen gave Clare a confused look after watching in confusion as Joshua walked off, before looking to see Jane approaching, "Oh, hello there." He said, now unsure of what to do, before looking to Clare, "What's wrong?"
Joshua continued, he was mad at himself for being rude, not only to a guy but to a woman. He sighed, "How the heck am I supposed to fit into this school? I'm used to the smaller schools, not this." Joshua wandered how his friends down in Kansas were doing. He's never wanted attention, nor will he ever want popularity. Normally, Josh was popular only because… well, he was Josh! The only thing he had ever wanted was friend, and he wasn't making a good start. "Maybe I should just exclude myself from everyone," Josh leaned against the wall, "there is no one like you Josh, you are you, nothing changes. If you can't make it here, then you will never make it out there." 'Maybe I shouldn't do football, instead work on grades?' Josh thought waiting for the bell to go rings.
Allen nodded slowly, "Ah...well, honestly neither am I. I'm just going by whatever I feel is appropriate." He said shrugging before sitting down, no need to stand when there's time before the bell, "Uhm...anyone know how much longer before class starts?" He asked before glancing towards the classroom door, "Hope the English teacher isn't like the one back home...So many essays..."
Allen sighed at the sound of the bell and standing back up, looking towards the door as he picked up his backpack before cautiously offering a hand to help Clare up, thinking it the polite thing to do.
