(Lol, I went to an eye appointment and got some lunch. I'm back now :derpe Heartburn collapsed as she nearly fainted from the breath she had been holding. Coughing, she brought herself to her hooves and levetated all her belonging to her. After being nearly eaten alive by the knave, something inside her had broken. She realized she'd been lying to herself over the course of the past week. They could hurt her, would hurt her if given the chance. Hearburn stepped out the window standing upon a levetation feel and lowered herself to the ground, despite the pirate's warning. "Nopony is dying while I still live myself..." she whispered. "NOT ANY MORE!" Levetating her bone saw next to her body, she advanced towards a nearby strangeling and swiped across its throat. The thing thrashed, but didn't die. She didn't care, by the time it had stabilized itself, she was already on the next pony, eyes hungry to murder these heartless savages. It wasn't until she had cut three ponies to ribbons before she realized what she was doing. She nearly dropped her bone saw in fear to what had juat happened. She should be healing these ponies, not massacring them! She backed into a safe corner and shouted "If you obtain any injuries, come straight to me! Trust me, I know what I'm doing!"
Gaze looked at the zebra "Yeah i'm ok," Gaze said, "But that strange was much more different than any regular," Gaze looked at the roof top to see it was still there then Gaze heard something that made him feel sick. He turned to see that defenseless pony wasn't going down she had killed three of them with a bone saw then said she was a doctor "You know I thought you where a defenseless pony but I see you are not any regular pony," Gaze said.
*Knowing that Heartburn was now a threat and that he couldnt kill them all.he ran across the rooftops and away from the group*
''I think we should team up. Dunno how many of them are running in the streets, but they seem to reproduce themselves really fast. Call me 'Sailor.''
"Mam! Civis! Down on the ground!" A soldier pointed out right before they flew to the next building. Dark looked down to see several ponies down on the ground, "We can't take them up here from the looks of it...You and you." she said pointing at two guards, "Go assist the civi's, everypony else, on me." and they continued their journey. (The group of civilians was Hearrburn's, Gaze's, and Sailor's group)
"Sure! Better chance of survival in this place," Gaze said "You can call me Gaze," he turned his head to see the doctor pony "Hey do you want to come with us?" Gaze asked, "We need all the help we can get,". Suddenly Gaze's ear perked up he could hear some ponies coming by air Gaze looks up to see two guard ponies coming their way and starts to wave his hooves "Hey look were going to be rescued," Gaze said with a smile on his face.
The Knave heard The Presence Within. It expressed: Survive. Follow. The city's PA system suddenly crackled to life. *static* "I know it hasn't been five hours yet, but there is trouble to report. Three bands of survivors were completely wiped out by the Horde as they made their approach to the airship. The airship's guards handled most of the infectees, but the Strangelings are probably aware of our plans. Please be careful out there. This concludes this announcement."
The two guards landed next to the group, "We're here to provide some added protection for your group. We are part of Master Protector Dark Light's bodyguard so we have plenty of firepower, and armor. If you were pegasi, you could fly up to the building tops to meet our group, but instead we will have to escort you to the ship."
''Welcome to the crew. So the strange ponies are gatherin' near the aicraft? I think i've got just what we need: A ship. If we could just find some wood, and some pieces of cloth big enough, we may make a ship and get of that island by the seas. After that, it's only a little walk to Canterlot.''
Rashall had been watching the newly formed group and wondered if he should make his presence known. He quickly decided against it his camoline cloak kept him somewhat invisible to them, as long as he stayed still, and his shuriken catapult was at the read just in case. Rashall had one ace up his sleve though, but at the moment his mic was shorted out for whatever reason and his helmet mic didn't have the range necessary to contact the first fleet of what had happened. He knew what would happen if the first fleet didn't get a report from him soon, they would come here and seeing the infection they would initiate exterminautus on the city whipping it off the face of the earth.
(From here, I let you guys control the two guards.) Dark had order her other two to stop with her on one of the tallest buildings in Manehatten, they were able to see far off into the distance. From where they were, they could see the ship, but they knew that would be a magnet for Strange Ponies and would explain why they haven't run into any yet. "So, do you think one of the bands of survivors that was nearly destroyed going to the ship was the civies in the center?" one of the soldiers asked. "I don't know, but probably." Dark responded.
"I don't think that plan will work we should just follow the guards to the airship they look like they can really kill some strange ponies," Gaze said, "But we should really start moving soon if we wait to long a horde might come along,".
''I agree. Let's start moving. Anyways, i'll leave my place in that aircraft for somepony else. I feel better on the sea then in one of those... giant birds.'' 'Sailor took his scimitar back from the dead unicorn's skull, and cleaned it with some piece of cloth he found on the ground. ''Look at their brains... Seems like there's a grey goo covering it. I ain't no doctor, but i've seen enough brains to say that these zombie brains aren't normal.''
"You know i've seen that grey goo when I kill some of those strange ponies that grey goo starts to crawl it scared the crap out of me," Gaze said he reloads his gun and pulls out his map of the city and starts mumbling. Gaze raises his head to see what street he was on and calculated how long it would take to get there "Well it would take possibly a day without any interference of strange ponies but that is not going to happen," Gaze mumbled, "So it would take about a day and a half to get there so lets not waste any time,".
''Before we go, check up your things. Most of thoses houses are unlocked, so if we need somethin'...''
Facade slept soundly in one of the houses. Two of the guards stood at the door while another looked through the dirty window, scanning for any sign of life or undead-life. He lived a decent life inside of the bloody hell hole of the city. He had heard the announcement, but decided to wait for a bit. He knew a mob of idiotic ponies would run towards the Town Hall only to catch the attention of the Strange Ponies and be devoured. The new annoucement had confirmed his thoughts and he decided to take a quick nap, before trekking out into the harsh city, but screaming and yelling had awakened him and he swore as he awoke. "Guard One! What is the disturbance?" Facade asked rubbing his eyes. The guard at the window waited a few moments before answering. "I see several ponies gathering together. They seem to be a group...and are moving towards the houses." "Raiders?" Facade questioned. He had trouble with a few of them and he detested shooting them. Waste of ammo. "I don't think so sir." "Well! Let's give them a hello. Traveling in a group will ensure safety. At the very least more bodies to block the Strange Ponies." He chuckled. The Police Ponies took defensive positions around Facade as he unlocked his door and waved at the group trying to catch there attention.
Heartburn shuddered. "Thank you. We can use the help." Shaking her head, she continued with "I don't know how much of this I can take. I watched my patients turn to bloodthirsty monsters in front of my eyes. I think...I think one of those bodies back there was one of them." Heartburn's eyes began to water. No, I must be strong, she thought. "We should get going, who knows how many more are headed here as we speak."
*BLAM* Dark stood breathing heavily holding her gun in her wings as a now headless Strange Pony fell to the ground. Its head now was splattered on the door it burst through to get to the roof, "Never let your guard down, even up here." she said scornfully towards her guards, who looked away shamed. She put the weapon back in its quick draw holster on her back. "Now let's get going."
''Wait, look out there-'' 'Sailor pointed an house, with somepony waving at them. ''He doesn't look like a zombie. I think we should get as many sane ponies as possible with us. We'll be easier to spot, but we'll have better chances to stay alive. And, if we're goin to that airship, we'll have to pass by the center of the city. In other words, where most of those zombies may find food.'' ((have to go for a few hours. Give y'all the liberty of controlling my OC when i'm out))
