Cyanside was presently bouncing carefreely in the direction of the airship, taking as many alleyway's as possible. I understand that you're not as likely to encounter those zombie's here as you are on the main street, but that dosen't mean there isn't any chance whatsoever "Oh I know that." Cyanside replied before she promptly started whistling a merry tune. What are you doing Cyan, Do you have a bucking death wish? That's only going to attract more of them. "Yeah, but the strange ponies don't whistle, at least I don't think they do, which means it will attract friends too. Besides, I've got you to defend me." If Shadow had been in control at that point, she would have no doubt facehoofed.
*He heard the whistling and talking,And headed towards its source. There he say a pony talking to himself*Ragh?*He crawled down the wall and silently followed him*
A hoof landed softly next to a pool of gray material seeping from the neck of the now beheaded pony in front of him. The brown colt wiped his machete clean with a cloth as he looked around. The threat was successfully taken care of, and he was relatively safe again. He sighed as he looked at his old and worn map, turning slightly to gain bearings on cardinal directions. "The pizzeria is that way," he whispered, pointing to a building marked on his map. "That means there should be another string of houses on the end of this street. I'll check them and head back down to the tunnels. Maybe somepony found them without my help..." He set his machete back in his pack with his magic before heading down a long and winding street.
"Did you hear that?" "Nope, too busy whistling, they're probably some friendly survivor coming to help us." Cyanside turned down another alleyway and, finding it leading straight out onto the street, began to backtrack...while walking backwards. "Alternatively it could be a zombie about to kill us and make us into one of them, but I'm sure that's not a problem as long as it's a friendly zombie." "Nope." "I was being sarcastic"
*He moves out of the shadows and into the light*Rrrrrrrrr AAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRHHHHHH!!!!!!!!*HE gets into an attack position*
"Okay I definitely heard something that time" "Fine Shadow, If it'll put you're fears to rest." Cyanside actuallly looks where she's going for one and see's a strange pony. But this one seems different, a strange strange pony. Cyanside freezes up where she stands as her coat darkens and the purple in her mane becomes prominent. Shadow reaches into her saddlebag's and pulls out the lighter, flicking it open. "You come at me, and it's your funeral."
HISSSSSSSSSSSSSSS*The strangling was not afraid of Shadows fire.*RAAAARRSSAAAAAAAHHH!!*He lunged at Shadow.Knocking the lighter out of her grip*
"Hey! Back off!" A yellow bolt of light hit the ground in front of the strange strange pony, stopping it in it's tracks. The source of the bolt jumped in front of the filly, putting up a defensive stance and holding both his book of spells and his machete in bright yellow aura. "How 'bout you pick on somepony your own size, you monster?!"
*He looks around for the 2 ponies but finds nothing*Rrrrr....rrrr GRAAAAAAAAAAAARRRASSAAAAHHGG!!!*He screams in frustration,A scream that could be heard for miles*
Though it wasn't like she needed the stallion's help or anything, his distraction had at least given her the chance to reach her lighter again. "Hey stranger, stand back if you don't wanna get burned." And with a swipe of the lighter she set her hooves on fire.
*The scream functioned like a sonar. And he was able to locate the escapees,He spoke two choked words*Ffffouundd...yyooouu....
When he heard her give a warning about being burned, he turned his head slightly to see what she could mean. He noticed her flaming hooves and realized that she could have powers, powers a pegasus shouldn't normally have. Powers that made his machete look like a foal's toy in comparison. Powers that could make her a destructive ally or a nightmare of an enemy, were she to get bittien. Knowing this, he quickly moved to her side and placed his machete back in his pack, giving full attention to his book of spells; if she could handle herself in the offensive, he would at least assist her in the defensive. "Hey, lady. You sure your hooves can make quick work of that thing? That screech he put out was pretty loud, and I don't wanna stick around here in case some nearby strange ponies heard it and want a snack..."
Quick work, yeah that's all I can do, anything longer than a minute and the flames are going to spread too far. "Just try to keep this thing still, alright?" And with that she charged towards their attacker, flaming hooves ready to strike.
*static* "Hello again, everypony." "If you're in the process of making your way to the airship, a rather large group has just boarded. This cuts your total time to board down to just under 30 hours. Please, get there as soon as you can." "Yes, we don't want our sacrifice to be in vain." "Now why would you say th-" *click* ----- Quill listened to the announcement with little interest. After all, he had no intention of leaving; his final goodbyes had been passed on to...his special somepony...before he even left for Manehattan. However, he couldn't simply sit by and wait for the end, he had a mission! He packed up his ink, notebooks, and quills. Then, he covered his face in a disposable surgical mask and left his apartment. Climbing down the three floors to the surface level, he reflected on the fact that he'd been pretty good at avoiding...well, pretty much anyone during his time here. He wondered if he'd spy any survivors since the call to escape had been made.
Dark flew down to the gate of the airship, then instantly went to help with the defense, she wasn't there to get out, she could do that on her own, she was there to help.
*He moved in toward the 2 ponies.Until he was close enough to see them.Noticing that one of thems hooves was on fire.He assumed that she was injured and would be an easy kill.He prepared to pounce*Rrrrr...REEEEEEEEEEHHHHHHH!!!!!!!*He landed on Starlight and started clawing him*
This strange strange pony was fast, faster than Starlight had seen any other pony he'd fought against. He was able to narrowly escape the attacks of this monster by opening his spellbook and activating a simple shielding spell used to block light attacks. The shield held strong against his assailant after the first few stomps and swipes, but it was clear that the spell was not meant to withstand the amount of strain being placed on it, and the strange strange pony refused to let up. Small chips of the shield began to chip away and the brown colt began to sweat as he struggled to keep focus. "Damn these creeps, they're getting stronger! Hurry up and get rid of it before he breaks through!"
RAAAWWRAAAAH!!!!*He screamed to alert the horde.Hundred of zombies rushed toward the shield bubble and attacked.Shattering it*WRAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!!!!!!!*He yelled to attack*
The shield crashed down around them like glass, and as the horde closed in from all sides, Starlight desperately searched in his book for something, anything that could save them. The filly next to him tried to fight off as many as she could with her hooves, but there were just too many to fight. She backed away from the crowd of lifeless monsters in front of her until she was back to back with her teammate. She closed her eyes and felt a warm tingle across her entire body as she waited for death to come... ...but it never came. She opened her eyes. She was now safe and sound in what seemed like an underground tunnel. She looked behind her at the unicorn responsible for her salvation before noticing he had fallen to the ground in exhaustion. He looked up to her and smiled weakly. "Well...that was...a close call..."
Shadow quickly draws out the metal boots from her backpack and shooves them onto her burning hooves, extinguishing the fire. "Got that right, any longer and I might have had to get serious, and I've only got two bottles of water left. Eating helps unicorns recover from their magic or something right?" Shadow takes an apple from her bag and gives it to the unicorn. "My names Shadow by the way. Don't think I'm going to be all chummy with you just cause of back then though. I could have handeled things by myself but...I am grateful for what you did. If you hadn't then Cyan..." Her voice trailed off as her mane changed back to its usual colouring and her coat reverted to white. "I'm Cyanside by the way, pleased to meet you, friend."
