Cal awakens to find a letter on his turntable then he opens it the letter reads... Dear Cal my love i've gotten two tickets to go the Gala so seeing how we've been both long distant i'd say its time to meet at the greatest party of the year ill meet you at the front door of the castle Love Kiki As Cal hops out of bed he says meet there for the first time to see each other what a honor thanks for the gift hope to see you soon two my love he puts on his Shades gets his hat along with his anniversary necklace from Kiki. Well seeing how it isn't for a while i might as well get some breakfast.
Jhera went outside and looked at the sun. Another beautiful day! He took a deep breath of air, and changed his sign to "Open". While he was changing his sign, Derpy Hooves landed near his house and stuck something in his mailbox. He went back outside after she flew away, confused. He never got any mail since he moved from Fillydelphia, who would be sending him letters now? He pulled it out of the mailbox, broke the seal, and read the letter. 'Dear Jhera, This year, I meant to treat myself to an event that is very special! Sadly, after i bought a ticket to said event, I found out that I was too far away to attend this year. When I asked the delivery ponies if there was any way i could get a refund, they simply denied me with huge smiles. The nerve of them! So, since I can't go, I decided 'Oh, Jhera just moved near where it's being hosted this year! I'll give it to him!' Now here it is. Have fun at the Galloping Gala! Sincerely, your cousin, Kesia' Jhera yawned. His cousin certainly was the person to give him stuff she didn't want. He put the letter in his satchel, and noticed that a golden ticket had fallen out. He picked it up and read it. Than he read it again. Then again. In a haste, he yanked the letter out of his bag and re-read it. Did she say the Galloping Gala? There was no way! He read the ticket again. It really was a ticket! This was impossible! Jhera noticed that he was smiling like a total fool. Jhera headed back inside and went straight to his room. "WHOO!" he yelled the moment he got in. "I'M GOING TO THE GALA!"
After a few minutes on the train they arrived in Ponyville. Cool Shades was the first off the train. "So this is Ponyville?" Muttered Cool Shades "Seems a bit... Boring...There must be something to do... Maybe a nice restraunt? I'll look around for a place to stay first actually." Cool Shades walked of looking for a "Quality" place to stay.
Ember said one last goodbye to Aima as she suddenly remembered her main goal this morning. Breakfast. She happily walked to the market place.
Jhera walked to the door to re-change the sign to say "Closed" and headed out. He went straight to the library and walked in. Twilight Sparkle happened to be inside at the time, and she gave him a cheerful smile. "Need something?" she asked. He grinned and said "Is there any books in here about Canterlot? More specifically the Galloping Gala? I just got a ticket and I don't want to look like a total idiot." She nodded and pulled a book off a shelf with her magic. "I heard the Gala's a great celebration!" she said as she handed him the book. "I wouldn't know, I've never actually been to one." Jhera took the book and looked towards her. "Aren't you Princess Celestia's personal apprentice? Surely she would have taken you to at least ONE?" She shook her head. "No," she said "I was too young anyways, and besides, I don't really have to go to one, do I." She put on a weak poker face. Jhera simply looked at her. "You could always ask her, I'm sure she'd let you go!" he said, and wandered out the door, in a bit of a darker mood than he was a moment ago. He pulled out the book and went straight to reading it the moment he got back to the shop, completely forgetting to change the sign back to "Open".
As Cal was about to leave he thought 'i better leave the ticket here less chance of it being taken by someone ill pick it up when i have to get dressed up'. Cal leaves his house and locks the door then he goes to the market sees if theres anything interesting things going on or they have something interesting to eat there.
Ember looked at the apple with delight. It was all she really wanted all morning. She walked over to a bench, sat down, and began to eat. She looked up at the sky and the clouds and just thought about nothing in particular.
Rashall just sat there on the hill looking out over Ponyville, he wondered if anypony cared that he was alone up on a hill. As Rashall was thinking the answer would be no, he noticed a familiar purple pony approaching him and smiled. "Rashall here you are, I was wondering did you get that ticket I sent you?" Twilight asks with an inquisitive look on her face. "Yes I did, but my question is why did you convince Celestia to invite me? I mean I have done nothing special to deserve this at all," says Rashall in response. Twilight sits down besides the silver Pegasus and leans on him slightly blushing. "I know that your the Guardian of Equestria and others have a right to know as well. These ponies need to know that you are not a legend, but an actual pony. Not to mention I was wondering if you would possibly go with me to the Gala?" Asks the purple unicorn blushing even more. Rashall blanched at the question then simply smiled. "I would love to meet you there Twilight and maybe your right, maybe it is time for me to show these ponies who I truly am," says Rashall as he helps Twilight get up. The purple unicorn smiles and then heads home, Rashall however decides to see how Ember is doing. He found her eating on a bench looking at the clouds. "So whats new with you Ember?" Rashall asks to the green mare.
Ember's daydreaming was interrupted by a voice. She looked over to see Rashall and smiled, "well, I got this apple," She held up the apple core, "and then I ate it, that's about it."
"that one unicorn from the library?" Ember said as she stood up to throw away the apple core, "I can honestly say that I never would have guessed."
Ember then carried out her day like any other normal day, and when night came, she happily walked home. Before going to bed, she checked the draw for her ticket. Yep, it was still there. She climbed into bed and dazed off into dreamland.
Jhera picked everything he thought would look good for a suit and 50 bits. Satisfied that he had everything, he headed to Rarity's Boutique. He was certainly going to need a suit for the gala, and who better to make it but Rarity! When he arrived at the store, a giant "closed" sign plastered the door. He never came here, but he was sure she was open at this time. He looked in the window and saw her sitting, admiring a shiny new golden gala ticket. Of course she got a ticket! He decided he'd come back later when she was willing to work again and headed home.
Having returned to the small shack he called home, Ecliptic opened the door, hoping his house had gone undisturbed. "You're back." a disembodied voice called out from the dark. Turning on the light Ecliptic responded saying, "Well to be fair, so are you. You were with me the whole time." "I suppose you're right. Anyways, there's a letter here for you." Ecliptic opened the letter and read: Dear Ecliptic, I know it has been quite a while since we last communicated. I know that traveling throughout Equestria leaves very little time to write home, and I think that after all that has happened you probably want some time to yourself. Still, I feel that I should invite you to this years Grand Galloping Gala, and have enclosed a ticket for you and a guest. I do hope you attend and, if it is all right with you, would love to have a moment to talk. Sincerely, Princess Celestia. Alone, Ecliptic contemplated whether he should go or not. Thinking aloud he said, "I really should go. She needs to know that I don't blame her for what happened." He sat, staring at the ticket, and waited for a reply. When none came, Ecliptic marked the date on a calendar and went to bed.
Cool Shades saw the Pony looking at the fasion shop and decided to see if he could make the pony look better for the Gala (Yes he is just thinking about the Gala ) so he went over. "Good day there! Might ask your name?" He kept a serious face throught the words.
