I was never bothered by it. In fact, I kinda like it. It's like the smurfs using the word smurf, except less frequent and in a way that makes more sense.
I never thought about it like that but you're right it is kind of like the smurfs using the words smurf but less frequent and in a way that makes more sense.
Look at it this way. If you could talk to cats, and were wondering if they were all in the room, would you say "everybody" or "everykitty". But to be honest, I think it is downright weird to hear IRL.
True but I only use it when i'm quoting the show or writing a MLP FiM story I have never said everypony, anypony or nopony IRL.
I say that only on the Internet in mlp related forums but never irl, and I think naming the cities after pony names is cute. The show is called my little pony and not my little dragon etc. the ponies are superior because the show is named after them! A show called my little Cow sounds really dumb don't you think?
The show was made for all age groups, but was targeted at and advertized for girls age 11 or so. You know, because being made for something doesn't mean much in this day and age. Did you know they made coca cola as a medicine to treat heroin addictions?
Don't know if you are aware of these facts due to your personal experiences or just casual, random intellect.
Considering this information is about a drink produced about 80 years ago, it's safe to say that personal experience is not relevant here. Unless, of course, I'm secretly 100 years old.
Well, there are numerous records on the matter. I would place money down on random intellect. At the original post, I think it adds to the immersion of the show and I support it. I like it.
I think it's cute, and both the pun-tastic names and the use of everypony really adds to the show. Mind, I'm not a native speaker, and sometimes when they pronounce the names in my native tounge it just makes me cringe... But as long as it's in English, it's great.
