"I'm bored..." Pinkly said. He pulled his hood off and was instantly surrounded by guards. He flew up in the air and performed a gauntlet switch, putting a crossbow in his front left hoof. He began alternating between shooting guards and swooping in and slashing them. "Noce armor budget you guys have set up!" He mocked the guards trying to catch him.
His eyes darted side to side before meeting the mare's. "Well... I... was... looking for loot? I figured the bodies would... have some." Monochrome sighed and scratched his mane. He stared at the ground, in his own little world, until the sounds around him reeled him back in. "What in the name of....?"
"That wasn't so hard, was it?" she cooed. With a flash, she was over by Pinkly, helping him. She did a backflip, and landed, neatly kicking a guard in the gut.
"I... guess not?" Monochrome was a little dazed as he drew his knife, ready to step into some action once again.
Monochrome slipped a throwing knife from the pocket of a dead guard and pinned it into another's head. He yelled out gleefully, "Not as tough as they look! Fresh meat, right off the enlistment calls!"
Pinkly laughed maniacally, grabbing the Squad Captian and hoisting him into the air. "We're gonna make an example outta you, tough guy." He whispered in the stallion's ear. The captian let out a terrible shreik.
Narrowleaf let out a battle cry, then threw a large iron ball at one of the guards. The chain was connected to his hoof, so he flew with it.
Pinkly saw the slave's plight, so he flew down and gave him the captain's sword. "I'll cut your chains after I cut this pony's limbs." He said, still holding the captian.
Monochrome bashed a guard he was locked in skirmish with over the head with the hilt of his knife, slipping the stallion's coin purse from him as he fell unconscious. "Anypony else?!" he called out, glaring around him.
Narrowleaf yelped out in pain as a stray arrow pierced his side. He dropped to the ground, wincing in pain.
Monochrome looked to see the slave pony fall to the ground. He ran over, plunging his knife through the front of another guard, not bothering to grab any bits this time, but yanking away his sword as he fell. Sticking said sword into the ground beside him, Monochrome snapped the arrow's shaft off, leaving the tip inside. "It's the most we can do here," he shouted, "But it'll have to hold for now. Get against that wall and defend yourself!" Monochrome ran off again into the fray, looking for more weapons to salvage for skirmishes.
Pinkly stuck out both hooves and ran through a good half of the remaoining guard force, flailing his hooves wildly, piercing veins and arteries. "I better get paid overtime for this." He moaned, turning again to face the wall of guards. He'd sliced the tendons on the captains legs...he wasn't going anywhere.
Monochrome, just having narrowly missed being stuck with an arrow, decided it was about time to take the higher ground. He slipped into the shadows and began to climb the building, approaching the unsuspecting archer, with a wide grin on his face.
The archer pony turned to see a hooded figure approaching him swiftly. With a cry, he fired wildly. An arrow grazed the grey ponies' face. Monochrome jumped on the archer, trying to strangle him out. The guard slowly loosened his grip on the bow, which Monochrome grabbed up quickly, and slumped over, falling off the roof. "Drive them into the wall!" Monochrome shouted, readying an arrow.
