I don't have problem with either really, furries can be really nice people and should not be discriminated against. As for Ron Paul supporters, at least Ron Paul openly opposes SOPA. That article is offensive to us, furries, and Ron Paul supporters for comparing us with the likes of pedophiles.
And they insult furries too. This person has no idea what they are talking about. I bet all these negative things are being because of something they are into. Hiding behind insults. What a waste. -- Sent from my Palm Pre using Forums
Sigh. Yeah.. it's a shame I guess. But we can't really stop this kind of of negativity from happening. There will always be people bashing other people, without doing proper research if their bashing is well-founded. Those ponyarchive guys giving us a bad name is frustrating. But we can't really stop that kind of stuff from happening either. When you're such a massive group on internet, there'll always be people among you who aren't behaving very well. And outsiders can leash on to this and use it as a justification to bash the whole group. Nothing new, really. All we can do is smile and not let it bother us too much.
I definitely don't have any problems with furries, and people just be shown some degree of respect regardless of their political opinions. I also agree with that last sentence. However, what she said there also bothered me because of the implications. She's implying, for example, that being a Brony is a taboo for those reasons. It's nothing concrete, just the author's way of being condescending towards groups of people she doesn't understand. And what exactly do Bronies have to do with Ron Paul anyway? I wasn't really insulted by that as much as I was perplexed.
I don't really understand furry hate, but then again I have a very open mind. I knew about furries long before 4chan. I find Fchan.org to be a massive sea of talented artists to start.
