Grifball

Grifball is an online video game “sport” played using custom maps and gametypes within Halo: Reach (and formerly Halo 3). It features two teams of four, armed with hammers and swords. A round bomb (or ball if you will) is placed in the center of the court. At the beginning of each round teams rush to the middle of the court in “tip-off” fashion, to retrieve the bomb. The goal is simple – arm the bomb by planting it on the opposing team’s goal. The game is commonly played either with five timed rounds or nine untimed rounds. The first team to reach a majority of points (3 of 5, or 5 of 9) wins.

I am a former captain of a European Grifball team called "Storm Hawks" who fought in the grifball leagues throughout 2011 and that has gone to the semi-finals of the EUGBL and is known as the best European Dash team. It died out though at the end of december (but had been dying and barely kept alive for a month) due to the fact that members of the team stoped coming to the games and became generally uninterested. The deathblow where when one of the 2 of the original members of the team started fighting, one demanding that the other would be kicked. I grew tired of it all and left Grifball without a word to anyone, just leaving my team to die.

I almost stoped playing any games at all, only played at rare occasions when friends were involved. Instead, I tried out My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic and got swallowed by it's awesomness and it's awesome by-products.

Anyway, it was thanks to the bronies at the Grifballhub forum that I found out about it, and I'm looking to start playing again.

Is there any bronies here who enjoys grifball? I would love to play with any of you, not neccecery in leagues ofcourse, but just in matchmaking for fun!
I am a former league-player, so I know a few tricks that I could teach you. :3
