Hmm, ok. Well honestly I've got no idea. You say the video card works in another PC. Halo works fine on the integrated GPU. My last guess is there is something happening between the dock and the laptop. The PCI slot on that dock runs at half speed which degrades performance. There really isn't much more I can suggest. Sorry.

    Its obvious.
The PCI slot running at half speed IS the problem. You should get that fixed.

*facepalm* The dock is SUPPOSED to run the PCI port at half speed because that's all it can take. Can't fix what isn't actually incorrect.

Then maybe he should get a new dock?

Well sure, if they make a dock with a full speed PCI slot or even better PCI-E. Great. But he'd obviously need to make sure it'd not be too overbearing on PSU.

The dock is brand new, and a half-speed PCI slot wouldn't cause a texture drug trip. Also, I found out that this will occur after 30 minutes-2 hours of playing GTA III, but it happens quicker in a multiplayer expansion "Liberty Unleashed" (30 minutes-45 minutes)

Where are you getting your drivers from. Nvidia's website? If so make sure you are choosing the Geforce 8 Series and not 8M Series.

I used the auto-detector thing to get me drivers.

Well, I'm using a Pentium 4, so I'm running XP 32-bit. Also, I fixed the problem!! ^_^ Turns out it was the card itself. I found a way to use my Zotac GT 520 (512mb DDR3 PCI) in my dock: Just leave the cover off and prop the laptop and dock up with books. Thanks for trying to help though! :)
