I've had it wit this issue so I'm sending it to ASUS, it's possibly hardware-related but since it's a 6 year old laptop they may not make the parts for it anymore. It may be unrepairable. Which is why I got a replacement at Rent-a-Center. I'm pretty much finished with this thread so a mod can close it if they choose to do so.
