Makes sense, the worker class could give bonuses to, like, moving heavy objects, or it could reduce stamina lost from hard work, etc.?
Well, alright. Workers are going to be able to: - Automatically have a chosen tool knowledge. - Have a breather skill, where they can take a condensed rest period, and restore health and stamina quickly. - Have a skill that allows them to add more to the result of any other skill or manual labor. I call it "Gettin' It Done" since Applejack has quoted the Cable Guy twice on this. Since Earth Ponies have an ability where they have a chance to have no cost on their skills, and Draft ponies have an even higher pushing and pulling amount, I figure putting all that on top would be good.
Classes Progress I finished Basic, and Advanced classes... at least. Planned after these: Knight - A mix of guard, warrior, and one unique skill. Requires 6 Resilience & Ferocity. Martial Artist - A mix of warrior, bolter, and one unique skill. Requires 6 Ferocity & Speed. Thief - A mix of speedster, scout, and one unique skill. Requires 6 Speed & Awareness. Wanderer - A mix of treasure hunter, performer, and one unique skill. Requires 6 Awareness & Creativity. Enchanter - A mix of performer, general practicioner, and one unique skill. Requires 6 Creativity & Willpower. Paladin - A mix of stalwart, guard, and one unique skill. Requires 6 Willpower & Resilience. I also intend to have an Artisan, which would be worker and artist together, (would be able to smith weapons and mechanics,) but then I gotta make a whole other block of 5 to mix with it.
I only thought of one background option. Blind Without 'Em - The character requires some sort of corrective lenses to see properly, and has these as part of their starting equipment. Instead of the -3 Awareness that come with Blindness, the character's Awareness is adjusted by -2, and Visual Checks are allowed. However, since the corrective lenses count as equipment, they have a set durability and can be broken, pickpocketed, or mugged from a character. If the lenses are lost or otherwise removed, the character gains the effects of the Blind background until corrective lenses can be obtained.
I am loving this! Hmm...Background Options... I wonder if they shouldn't be made up as needed? I mean, that would be the easiest way to do it, would it not? I can't think of any background options off the top of my head that would involve anything but changing stats around, which the player can do anyways. I dunno. -shrug-
All of the pony races have been written out. Of course, there are more races to come, but as far as the first few sessions are concerned, I like to stick with ponies. If you make a character, keep in mind that I'm not looking for any Breezies, Seaponies, or Alicorns in the first few adventures.
This here post is mostly for my apprentices to have an accessable version of something I was working on. The magic system works as such: To be able to learn a spell you first need to have Willpower equal to the Power Level you want to join. Second, you need to have an open slot in Creativity. Unicorns automatically know the Fire spell "Light" and the Space spell "Levitation." Casting spells generally get you achievements that let you cast more spells. Having a cutie mark that specifically targets a certain realm or source increases your effective power level with that magic type, allowing you to get more powerful spells earlier on, but cutting you off from other realms of magic. Elemental Realm - Five Sources Fire > Plant > Earth > Storm > Water > Fire Ignite > Entangle > Stun > Shock > Freeze Purity Realm - Six Sources Time - Space - Life - Death - Chaos - Absolution Emotional Realm - ??? Sources Runic Realm - At Least Four Sources Tartarus - Olympus - World/Crystals - Star Elders
I love it, Eight Star! So, would you like me to help by designing spells, or by coming up with ideas for spells, or for working on something besides Elemental and Runic magic? I can do any of those, and I know I haven't done much so far, I have more time than usual this week.
Ideas for spells - names and descriptions are enough. Fire is easy. Damage, damage, damage, damage, damage, damage... support... summon... damage. If you could come up with Generosity/Kindness spells, that would be good. I think they would be in the same Source. Opposing of Greed/Cruelty.
Mois? Very well! I'd assume they'd be similar to White Magic or summat? Healing, buffing, protecting, etc.? With maybe a few damaging attacks thrown in, but mostly keeping to debuff and such on the offensive?
Aight, thug life. So Eight Star; you wanted your trusty scribe to help with spells as well? I can come up with names and descriptions no prob, but which branch would you want me to elaborate on? It seems that you have Fire well covered. Since I sorta threw Runic in there, I can totally help with that.
