Welcome to Everypony. 4chan used to be amusing, but now it's boring. It's also not a great way to meet people either. However, this site is very friendly. Feel free to ask any questions and enjoy your stay.
Since you are new 'round 'ere, I suggest visiting the General Chat Thread (can't grab a link, just search it up) if you wanna meet some new people, or Roleplay section if that's what your into, or Music or whatever.. You catch my drift
ok ^^/)*(\^^ also, oh my, I was just editing my last post and then there were 2 more on a new page~ you can go back and read the last one if you'd like.
Haha, people who emote a lot are said to be a lot more expressive. Do you write much? I mean anything from literature to music /)*(\
Yes I've written a manuscript for a (fiction) novel and I'm also working on a visual novel which is a sequel to the first novel. If you'd like, I can explain what a visual novel is and why I'm making one. and thank you ^^
T'would be nice if you can explain - and it turns out my theory is correct n__n Yay for writers! Wish I was good. My friend Emma has over 1 million reads on her book on Wattpad... Lucky girl!
Wattpad? : o ... hm a visual novel is typically done in anime style in terms of artwork. There's a text box at the bottom of the screen where the dialogue and narration happens. You get to put in character and background artwork, along with sound effects and music, and even animated cut scenes that would play at certain points. What I really like about it is, well, the fact that I can draw for it and all, but also the fact that the story can branch off. For example, at 9am on Monday, you might have the option to go to sugarcube corner, or the everfree forest, or the study. Depending on what you choose, that's where you go, and you may have more choices to make once you're on each path, and on each of those paths too. And since there's still time flowing through your story, you may not have the chance to "go back" and take one of the different paths that you missed later in time- that whole thing is really interesting to me, and adds a lot of depth to, well, everything. It takes more writing and artwork, but I think it's worth it. And the best part is, after you "beat the game" you haven't really "beaten" it, because there are many many other roads for you to explore, so it adds very much replay ability. It's also not too hard to code... most of it's just writing and displaying the simple graphics. Also I use Ren'Py, which has a community to help you with whatever you may need help with. ^^
My god... That sounds... SO AWESOME /)^3^(\ why have I never heard of these before? Dang internets, hiding away all the cool stuff :<
hee hee... Glad you like the idea of them. They're kind of like an anime/movie, novel, and game all mixed into one. My brother doesn't like that about it, but I do a lot. it really feels like you're there- and you don't have to do thousands of frames of animation or anything like you'd have to do for making a real anime. You don't even need voice actors! I think it's great that you can feel like you're part of something with a bit of effort but not working yourself to the bone.
Once your project is in open beta, let me see it! :3 Then once it's done I shall Molestia all over it.
o.o ... it sort of has adult content. no sex but still rather mature subject matter... But I'll let you know when I'm done the demo, deal?
oh my ^^ *thinking about the story line* @u@ ok, you'll enjoy it then. It's rather complex. *hoof bump*
