Well at least im trying... the hard truth is the world sucks, people are terrible, and things might very well get worse. All you can do to stay sane is to be optimistic and make the best of whatever you're given. I'll admit that I got through some of my anxieties and depression by embracing being cynical when I needed to be, but it was always for the purpose of seeing the bright side when I was proven wrong. Yes, expect bad things to happen, but when they arent as bad as you thought embrace the little things that were good, and take joy in the times that are great.

Like I said, it's just generic advice since idk what the OP is specifically stressed out about, but it's something I wish someone told me when I was suffering from terrible anxiety... It's so easy to convince yourself that everything is going wrong, to only see the darker side of living, when there is a whole other side to things, that is great and amazing. We live in a crazy time, where if you can see passed the stress of family matters and politics, the constant communication on ever increasing number of technologies, the stress of a modern education for an uncertain working future, and the anxiety of the world of problems and disasters...if you can see passed all these things even for just a moment you realize, wow... we have such amazing tools of science, of medicine, of entertainment; we can talk to more people around the whole world, and experience more things than anyone in human history before us. We have such opportunity to change the world, and it's already changing. This is our time to make of the world what we want of it, and realize that the things we stress about are nothing compared to what we can dream of, what we can put our talents towards.

The brony community has its nay-sayers like any other group, but this is a great time and there are great people here. And I have made great friends on this site and others, and there are countless number of wonderful people here and elsewhere that when given the opportunity would go out of their way to help someone out with whatever problem someone could come up with.

I write or exercise. Writing helps me to vent my emotions. It allows me to examine the way that I feel in an oh-hey-would-you-look-at-that kind of objective manner, as if I were examining a physical item. Exercise, by contrast, using my emotions to fuel movement, thereby depleting unwanted levels or stress, anxiety or anger.

Physical activity will always be the best way to blow off steam, even if it's just taking a walk. After all, our species is happiest when active. If, for whatever reason, I can't get out and walk, music will usually do the trick for me (either listening to it, or actually playing it since I have a couple instruments I'm quite fond of).

Of course, I don't usually stress much anyway. I always speak my mind, so it's rare that anything get's "bottled up" inside of me. Even talking out your issues when nobody is around seems to have it's benefits. But yeah, finding something active to do, blocking out the world by strapping on my headphones, and of course, watching a little MLP are just a few ways I chill out if I start stressing about something. Hope this helps l3

I usually don't... I have nothing that lets stress out... I keep it in until someone makes me mad enough that I beat them... I need to work on that...

Ah, it wasn't meant as criticism. It's good advise, just not always easy. You know, because, depending on how stressed you are, it's at times very easy to just see the bad things piling up and to overlook the good things.
I didn't mean to sound so negative, but I guess I'm in a bit of a funk myself. Weather is hot and it's dragging me down. :sigh:

Sorry about that, I get unnecessarily defensive sometimes :/

I think I also wanted to clearify some emotional feelings I had on the subject too so that wasn't all just directed at you.

Really hot here too, I just moved about 600 miles south from where I used to live just in time for summer so I can totally relate to heat stress xD

Well, I've been prety stressed out myself lately, and the way I deal with it is to talk with some friends, play games and work out.

I also (Keep in mind I'm not advising you to do this in anyway, it is just what helps me) do Snuff.
    It looks like this
