I usually watch episodes the first chance i get, which is usually livestream. But most livestreams i know are incredibly low-quality and laggy. The next day, i usually try to find a HD version on Youtube.
I just use youtube since atm all episodes of seasons 1 and 2 are up to date, been a long time since I watched a series that wasnt complete. In just this one day I've already grinded through season 1, I'm gonna have to rewatch the first 2 episodes of season 2 though because i've been posting here at the same time as i've been watching it on the other half of my screen, so I didn't quite catch it all.
I've been using YouTube for the most part, however I did download Season One. I don't have The Hub so unfortunately I can't watch it that way.
I watch them on The Hub, but when I create my own marathon I use Youtube, when a new episode comes on for the first time I multitask by watching it both on livestream and on The Hub at the same time although the livestream is normally a few seconds behind.
The problem with watching them on youtube is you have to wait hours after it's been aired on TV for a good copy to be uploaded.
Which was never a problem for me, since I was (and technically still am) several weeks behind. At this rate (due to busy, busy, busy), I won't be able to watch the entire finale until Season 3 comes.

I don't know any livestreams, but if I knew i would definitely use a Live stream, for now I watch MLP from a channel called AwesomeFluttershy.
Youtube. I do catch it on tv when it happens to be on, though its usally a random epsiode. Over here it airs on treehouse (a little kiddywinks' channel), and it has the most sporadic times..>>
YouTube. UK doesn't have HUB or anything, and Scotland lacks anything resembling a toy shop so I won't find DVD's any time soon *sigh*
