All those haters and trolls that were mean to you aren't bronies. They think they are, but they know nothing about what being a brony is. It took me awhile to find this forum, and I was close to giving up after finding forum after forum that included hatred, and bad things. Everypony is a loving and accepting community of true bronies. I'm so glad that I've joined and so far I've been having a great time here. I think you will love it here too. I'm a nerdy guy too, so bullcrap and bullies at school is nothing new to me. My personality is definitely a Twilight Sparkle - Fluttershy combo as I don't really like talking to strangers and I tend to be socially awkward. I like gaming, and I'm in the process of building my custom PC, but it's far from done. So if you would like to chat sometime that would be awesome. But I can definitely say that MLP and this site have gotten me to come outside my shell better, online, and in real life. I used to beat myself up every night because I'm "ugly" or whatever, but ever since ponies were brought into my life, its been much happier. I no longer allow my flaws to get the best of me, and I've learned to love myself for who I am. Who ever thought a fandom could do that?
I can definitely relate to that. I (still) can't get over how awesome this community is, as I have just taken nearly every group on the internet to include some trolls (specifically gaming), but this place is just awesome
