Sorry if this was already posted, but as someone who likes eating Chicken: http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2013/10/08/salmonella-chicken-outbreak/2941783/
There is a very simple solution to this: Don't undercook the chicken! Also, because chicken was mentioned, here is an obligatory Scootaloo.
Have you any evidence that Obama personally closed the memorial? Because from what I can tell, everything's just a festival of finger pointing and it's nearly impossible to discern facts from all the partisan nonsense.
Taken from this article: Finally, a number of commenters have asked why this outbreak is even an issue, assuming that people are only at risk if they undercook their chicken. That assumes that people are only becoming sick from their own actions and not, for instance, eating the chicken in someone else’s home or in a restaurant. It also fails to account for salmonella’s nimbleness at spreading off raw meat to other niches in professional or home kitchens — a cutting board, a counter, a towel, a sponge, the cook’s hands — and then from there in an undetected manner to other foods. And, finally, it fails to acknowledge that some members of the population — toddlers, elderly, people with immune systems weakened by various medical treatments — are more vulnerable than others. There’s no question people should behave self-protectively. But in our regulatory system, food safety is a shared responsibility, federal, commercial and individual — and it only works when every party in that chain works to the highest standard they can.
I had Foster Farms chicken for dinner last night. I cooked it thoroughly, and made sure to carefully wash the knife and cutting board after prep, as well as using a disinfectant wipe on the counter. I have never gotten food poisoning from chicken in my life, because I use common sense when preparing it. The problem here is not with the chicken itself, but with the people who don't know how to prepare it properly.
Bro, assuming someone is poor because they are black or a bad president because they are black is kind of racist. I don't like Obama but it's not because he's black. It's because a) he's a politician and b) he hasn't done anything to make me think he's different from any other politician. If you think he'll make worse choices than a white guy and the only reason you have is he's black, then yeah, kind of racist.
>Implying the debt crisis lays exclusively on the President's shoulders >Implying the President is from a ghetto because of ethnicity >Implying that being from said ghetto, Obama can't magically make the debt go away with infinite money he'd have otherwise ('cause that's totally how it works) >Implying ethnicity has to do with anything at all Just stop. Do you even know what you're saying? How incredibly racist, completely uninformed and misguided of a post this is? Surely you're trolling.
I don't really care. I just don't. The american government is filled with greedy, fearmongering pigs who want nothing more than to line their pockets while making it harder for hard-working citizens to line theirs. This country's leadership is disgusting... though, the country itself is very nice. I'm lucky to live here; I'm unlucky to be born in a generation where the fat, greedy politicians are the main focus instead of the people who actually need help. @The somewhat racially charged comment above me that has been quoted multiple times: While I consider myself a follower of the Democratic party, and would rather die than have a Republican run it (The government), one of the only reasons Obama won was because he was black. I do believe that is the case. That, and everyone had a bad taste in their mouths from Bush Jr. I think everyone hated Republicans at that point.
The greedy politicians are the main focus because they won't help people who need it. That's not to say people don't really need it.
