The reason trolling works on 4chan is because everyone there is a troll, so they have made a mutual agreement with each other. Either that or they are a "new*squee!*".

Not necessarily. If you add trolls to this site, you couldn't take it seriously. 4chan thrives because it is full of random stuff that isn't taken seriously. Also, that was completely on topic. Trolling makes you post better. Consider that I, after becoming a troll, began to use perfect grammar. Consider also that most people do not. Consider also that I am stating my opinion: Trolls would make this site better. This is a thread dedicated to teaching people how to post better. I am, thus, telling people to troll more, and thus post better. Also, consider that most of the users with high post counts who are not admins agree with this view.
Then of course there are people like me just don't really care what you have to say at times. Thus we just wind up ignoring you.

Ignoring implies that you neither read nor reply to my post. In fact, it implies that you don't acknowledge their existence. What you're saying is you like to disagree with my point of view. Which you are doing right now.

Conversing about something cancels the action of ignoring, if only for the duration of the conversations. You can not breathe and drink at the same time. Same here. You can TRY, but you will not succeed at either.
