    here is my story.

I had to flashdrives full of pony, I had them hidden in my room, and they were kept secret for almost as year, recently about 3 months ago my dad dug them up and confiscated them. He downloaded all the pics on my pc through, cuz i was honest about it. from this day forth he has teased me about it, calling me gay.

My dad walked in on mw watching an episode, thing it was Dragonshy. And he asked "Are you really watching my pretty little pony?" to which my response was
    "Yea"

He laughed for a bit and when he was done I said "Judge if you want." His face went from a all out mocking one to a more apologetic. "I didn't mean to judge, it's just that it's my pretty little pony."...

He accepted it, but its still a grey area, I try to indulge mlp to him and i get that "im-letting-you-talk-but-I-really-don't-care-cause-I-based-my-opinion-on-the-toys-that-came-out-before-the-80's-show" Silence.

It's not a directly anti-pony house, its just a grey area where talk about ponies stay in my head and or forum sites.

This is an interesting one for me.
My Mum is the only one in the family who knows :derpe: as my dad WOULD insult me (He already does)
She was cleaning my room and she asked me what a Brony is (I had a part in to do about getting the courage to tell her lol)
I showed her this website and she asked me why I like it. At first she though a Brony is a Pony. :Trollestia:
I explained to her what I do on here and why I like the show and she told me that my Brother Simon used to like the 1st gen and even had some of the merc :dunno:
She told me I can tell her anything and it was good I got it of my chest. She promised not to tell anyone. I'm so happy

Well your dad is just super-mature man isn't he. lol.

But yeah, in all seriousness no offense to yer dad (cause you know your supposed to respect your elders and all that jazz.) But reading other peoples stories online makes me realize how lucky I am I mean my family hardly ever understands my interests, but at least they never make a big deal out if it. Heck I've been sporting my Derpy Baseball Cap all week baby!

Admitinly my My little sister (ironically I guess) bashes me on it. But hey, she's an idiot, lol.

But yeah, I find it sad some of my fellow Bronies & Pegasisters are put through so much pointless mockery mearly for their love of a cartoon about multi-colored equine.

If anybody should be takin heat from their parents its kids that watch Disney Channel or MTV, cause the shows on those networks.....are crap, lol.

But in all seriousness, it is sad to know that so many people even as adults are so childish & fickle, but hey, thats the human race for yea, whatcha goona do.

Well I recently found out my family TOTALLY SUCKS. I can only really talk about ponies if somebody else brings it up,but sometimes I call my 13y old sister applejack nobody seems to care, and my other sister which is 15 would sometimes joke with me if I say something she'll say "like rainbow dash" and it was kinda funny but I said it once and my brother (17) says "dude stop we know you just wanna talk about MlP so bad and wanna come outta the closet, but you just need to stop with the ponies" but I think now me and my bro are all cool cause he told me that he has this online dating app thing and he said if I don't say anything about it he won't say anything about how he knows I kinda like rainbow dash.
I haven't said anything about rainbow dash or ponies around him since but he might kinda be excepting it I hope, maybe I'll say something about ponies around him soon and see his reaction, but I'll see what happens...

My Mom walked in while i was watching it.

She didnt care..sh thought it was funny.(And she bought me toys.AND shes making me a Rainbow Dash Plushie)

And now my little brother watches it with me.

My Dad...eh...He doesnt care either...i told him to watch it and he said he would try.(I think he forgot though...not the brightest man...he also gave me a Twilight Sparkle McDonalds toy)

    I have it easy.

I hate how some parents go all "Confiscate/punish/insult"On their kids just because they watch a show. Its idiotic.

Well, my mum doesn't really mind much. My brother was wierded out, but he eventually watched episodes 1 & 2. And my grandad doesn't know about it. I wonder how my dad would have reacted if he was still alive...

My family already knows I watch cartoons, so they were fine when I told them I watch MLP:FiM. My dad likes to occasionally poke some light humored fun at me for watching it, but I've watched some episodes with both of them. My dad says his favorite pony of the Mane 6 is Applejack, which makes sense since he grew up on a ranch. My mom has listened to some brony music and liked it. My sister was a fan of the older generations and my brother also watches a variety of cartoons, so neither of them have given me any grief. I don't think either of them have watched Friendship is Magic though.

I don't tell them, much like other things. My older brother strongly dislikes the show and brony culture, but that's like.. his opinion.. man.

I've never told 'em. They just heard 'smile, smile, smile', saw me listening to MlP:FiM on my cell and guessed: Hey, you a brony?" I just said, "Why not? Rainbow dash is awesome."
Guess what? My father said, 'I know, but i prefer rarity." :D

My Dad saw me on this site, asked why I was on it, I told him I was a brony etc. Then my brother saw me watching an episode, they're the only two in my family that know, out of 5 (excluding me).

I don't know that there was a formal announcement. They know I love the show. There's no hiding anything really in my family.

I just straight up told my mom. And told others whenever the thought occurred to me. Now, I wear it loud and proud and say it to whoever asks upon seeing my apparel. If they respond poorly, that's on them. Not my problem.

I just started wearing pony shirts and toys. They found them and hated. I laughed and said "whatever you're just jelly" Shame that confused my grandmother more.

My brother knows, I forget exactly what happened I think he saw me watching an episode, first he gave me a lot of guff about it then I showed him some fanon songs, remixes and the like, and some parodies/PMV's like the Pony Anthology, and he changed his opinion. Now he's starting to like it and I may get him watching the show soon. :s:

My parents don't know (I'm pretty sure) and to be honest I don't really know what they'd think of it nor do I care. I think they'd be ok with it since they know I'm into cartoons and anime. They didn't really care when they found out I was smoking weed a couple years back so I don't think the realization that I watch MLP would really get their jimmies rustled.

I also told my best friend I was a brony awhile back, he didn't care at all, he was like "yeah so, I watch Spongebob and stuff, same thing no big deal." He hasn't brought it up since and neither have I for that matter, but it's cool to know he doesn't think any less of me for it.

My other friends...I think they would give me a LOT of grief over it, they're kinda closed-minded. So I don't tell them. *shrug*
