When I became a brony google and youtube taught me everything I needed to know. After watching all of the episodes I looked up some of the fan made videos (started off with some documentaries about what it means to be a brony and what not then moved into watching music vids and short clips people made). Lingo wise I would like to emphasize what Yamiookami said, I use some lingo on occasion but more often than not its too bothersome (primary one I use is eyup in place of yep). You will learn as you become more of a part of the fandom. Also welcome to everypony. PS) some of my favorite brony musicians are Sim Gretina MandoPony and AcousticBrony you tube links below. Sim does remixes (not just MLP) Mandopony and AcousticBrony both do mostly lighter rock and have done some work together. There are plenty of things to learn of this fandom and friends to earn, but there are things that you must know if you want your knowledge to grow. 1. First of all it should be clear that you don't have to worry when we're talking about something new that you simply have no clue what is going on, you see just simply ask and pleasantly be rewarded when it's met with grace, very few will laugh in your face. 2. In case you haven't yet the best way I'm sure to bet is watch the shows once or twice with the wiki so it's nice to notice little details like jokes you missed or unknown tales. This will let you know the in-jokes the fandom seems to grow. 3. This one should be common sense but to have fun with no expense is to be yourself so friends you earn will not leave you if they learn that you are not what they thought and all your efforts come to naught. Just have fun and do what you do and you'll find fortune comes to you... unless of course you're quite uncouth, but you should know that it's the truth that those who act like a schlong tend to really not last long. Just remember these and the rest will be as easy as counting up to three.
