He laid down next to her, adjusting to get comfortable.
She curled up, the antlers disappearing momentarily so she could rest beside him comfortably.
He rubbed her back slowly. “Thank you for helping today.”
She rested her head against him. "Of course, Briar."
“Good night...”
"Goodnight. Sleep well."
“Mm. You too.”
She relaxed, her arm over him and her forehead against his temple as she closed her eyes.
He grinned before closing his eyes as well.
She paused to turn off the light before lying back again, drifting off quickly.
He joined her after a moment, his breathing steadying.

Canyon was asleep beside him, facing away.
His arms were wrapped around her waist, his head on her shoulder.
She shifted slightly, yawning.
He didn’t wake, pulling her closer to his chest.
Her eyes opened slowly, and she stretched.
He was silent, his wings laying out behind him.
She remained still, her thumb brushing his hand.
