I support you in that decision. In my view only a fool can think he truly knows the secrets of the universe. In my view actions are more important than beliefs, if there was a god and this god truly was benevolent, deeds and not faith would be what determined who is given entry into heaven. I also can't see how Hell ever would be fair as finite sins do not justify infinite punishment. These things is what really bugs me about christians. Even though I am agnostic myself I have studied the book of revelations and other apocalypse myths, they fascinate me, as does the supernatural in general. If I should be honest though, I think the book of revelations refer to the fall of the Roman Empire and the rise of christianity from a persecuted cult to state religion and not the end of the world. As for 2012, probably not the correct year, I know the world is in decline, but I hardly think things will go down that fast.

since I read only first couple of posts: didn't you know that we got over end of the world couple times already? 1996, 1997, 2000, 2006, 2008 and 2010. wow, i've died 6 times in my lifetime and world has renewed itself, and I didn't even notice... guess i'm really heavy sleeper.
