I live in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and we have anime and comic conventions (Tokyo In Tulsa). In fact, if it wasn't for Tokyo In Tulsa (an anime con), I might have never been into MLP (my friend Tammy help me get into MLP and the character Rainbow Dash). But besides see her and other pegasisters cosplaying and occasional MLP art over at Tokyo In Tulsa, there isn't a brony/MLP based one in the Tulsa area that I am aware of. I've been to at least 7 anime cons, but would love to go to a brony con. I only know like 2 people personally that are into MLP. I hope they have some in Tulsa, or if the series stay popular in 4-5 years, some in Seattle.
Anyway I probably won't get to go to any local conventions in the Georgia or Tennessee area this year as I plan to start going to Northwestern Technical College during the summer semester.
Anyone know of any Cons near Southern California for bronies? I've only heard of cons across the country :/
I think there are some in both SD and in LA, my girlfriend is from SD, and she mention one. And I think LA is doing something special cause of an event that was mention on yesterday's episode of MLP that if you call in you have a chance to go to LA to some MLP event. Don't know where in Southern Cali you live in, but since both LA and SD are major cities with over a million people, they should have a ton of events. SD is suppose to have the biggest comic con that always gets national attention around the summer, maybe they will have a MLP event.
I heard the one in Georgia got cancelled, forget what it's called. We're trying to get one started in Sacramento (which the city nearest to me)...so hopefully that works out.
That's ok I wouldn't be able to go anyway since I plan to go to College during the Summer semester anyway.
I dont know of any MLP events happening at comic-con, though i am a volunteer there every year and am doing it this year as well Also at wonder-con i will be volunteering. I'll keep an eye out for MLP events at this years Comic-Con, maybe introduce new bronies to the site.
