Keep in mind, most people's initial reaction to a show like this is a knee-jerk reaction. They see the bright colors, the almost entirely female cast, etc. and it sets off alarms in their brain and they raise their defenses. Some people will genuinely watch the show with an open mind, and even some with defenses raised will be won over eventually, but many, I expect, will resist and never really let it in. Don't sweat it. If they don't even want to give it a real chance, it's their loss, right? Being an open brony is one thing, but in my experience, such pro-active attempts to convert people will only increase resistance. Better to just mention it casually and inspire some curiosity.
Yeah actually making THEM curious helps a lot, then when you can see they are ready, BAM you hit them with an episode.
