"So where is it that you saw her again?" asked Scootaloo for the second time. Nova had decided to show her where she had ran into Moondusk for two reasons. The first being that she wanted to see if the mare would show up again so that she could thank her properly. The second reason was that Scootaloo truly did not believe that such a story could be true. They were walking through some woods to the west of Ponyville known by many as the shadow woods, for it was always gloomy there. "Just up around this bend is where I heard her voice for the first time." said Nova. The two continued on in silence for a while, after a minute it begun to feel as though they were being watched. "What are you two doing out in the woods at this time?" said a voice from behind them, both Scootaloo and Nova turned around to see who it was. "Rainbow Dash!!!" yelled Scootaloo with excitement in her voice, Nova looked away towards the bend. "I was just showing Scootaloo here where I had met the mare that gave me my name. Why are you here though Rainbow Dash?" asked Nova turning back towards Rainbow Dash. "Well me and my friends were wondering where you two had gone. We had searched all over town for the both of you, so we then decided to check the woods or at least me and Twilight decided to." said Rainbow Dash turning as Twilight approached. "There you are Rainbow, you lost me back there for a second. Where's Nova?" asked Twilight, the two others looked around only to find that she was not there. "She must have gone on ahead." said Scootaloo. And that she had, in fact Nova had gone about a mile up the path it would take the other three some time to catch up to her. The time passed slowly for Nova minutes dragged on for what seemed like hours and still there was no sign of Moondusk. Nova began to cry for the first time in weeks, the charm around her neck glowed warmly as though trying to comfort her. "What is the matter little one, why is it that you are crying?" said a voice behind her. "Because I can not find the mare that gave me my name in order to thank her." responded Nova, she turned around slowly to see who she was talking to. There standing in the light of the full moon was a pony with a silver coat and a mane that looked like silver fire. He walked towards her and for some odd reason she did not feel threatened or afraid of this pony, it was if Nova knew him. "Now what would be the name of this mare?" asked the pony. "Her name was Moondusk." responded Nova, the other pony continued to look at her for awhile. "Ah there is a name I have not heard in ages, is this where you first met her?" asked the pony sweeping a hoof around the area as though indicating the entire forest. "Yes right here in this spot is when I first heard her ask why I was crying as you did just now." said Nova, she noticed that Scootaloo and the others had caught up with her finally. "Rashall whats going on?" asked Twilight. "I heard this young filly crying and decided to see why." said the pony named Rashall. "Your names Rahsall?" asked Nova. "Yes that is my name what is yours?" countered Rashall. "Nova, your the same pony that helped Aurora at the young flyer competition aren't you?" asked Nova. "Yes that was me, but now show me where you got that necklace from if you do not mind." said Rashall, Nova just nodded and lead the way with Rashall at her side. After a while they arrived at the clearing where Nova had woken up and found the note along with the necklace. Nova showed them where she had awoken and told them of the letter that had come with the necklace. Rashall simply looked at the tree and smiled, he then looked at Nova still smiling. "You have been given a rare gift Nova not in your name or of the necklace, but in what you saw. That mare you ran into, Moondusk, she was my mother and long ago she sacrificed her self to keep this land safe." said Rashall, the others were dumbstruck by his words. "If she has been gone for so many years then how is it that Nova saw her?" asked Twilight. "Those who are gone from this world may return for any number of reasons Twilight, but it is better to leave them to their devices rather than guess. Come Nova I believe you wished to say something to my mother. You can say it here and she will hear it do not be afraid." said Rashall. "Thank you Moondusk for everything." said Nova. After a few minutes there was a sudden noise, they all turned to see that the tree had begun to sway back and forth but that there was no wind. Rashall simply nodded and smiled and turned to Nova. "She is saying that you are welcome and that if ever you need help or just need to think that she is always here." said Rasahall. After that Nova walked up to the tree and placed a necklace that she had made some days ago. "A gift in exchange for a gift, I made it myself though its not as pretty as the one she gave me." said Nova, the tree simply waved the branch where the necklace hung as though saying thank you.
