Into the Everfree (for Pinkly Smooth)

"How about the dragon lair?" Bolt suggested

 

"Oh! We need to grab the rest of the loot there..."

 

"Well, actually I'm already rich. But yeah. I don't say no to money. If we get the money, we'll have it for emergencies. So, wanna fly?" Bolt asked

 

"Sure...", Xeno replied, hopping onto bolts back, blushing slightly

 

Just before Bolt took off, Luna landed on the ground. "There's been an attack on canterlot." She said rapidly. Bolt's eyes widened.
"Xeno...slight change of plans." He said, rocketing towards Canterlot. "Wonder who's done it now. Better not be the changelings again..." He thought out loud.

 

"Changelings!?! Please no... Anything but changelings...", Xeno said, nearly blushing

 

Bolt saw the green aura and his irises began to flame. "Xeno. Stay with Luna. Luna, stay here. I've got this." Bolt growled. A few explosions were seen as he shot into the city. In a flash, he flew back, Chrysalis following him. "Get Xeno the hell out of here if you want me to win." He ordered. Luna took Xeno and flew off. Bolt charged a red sphere of energy in his hoof and kept a shield up in the other

 

Xeno was cowering, feeling like she was going to die

 

Bolt dodged a green beam of light, slammed Chrysalis in the face with his sheild, and rammed the ball of energy into her. It expanded, engulfing her entire body before flying towards the ground and hitting with an explosion. "If you're still alive, run. Run and cling to life. You're lucky I'm in a good mood today. Ah, movement." He laughed. He grabbed Chrysalis by the throat. "Where's my mother?" He asked.
"She's...alive...in the palace." Chrysalis answered. Bolt flew there with Chrysalis. The changelings retreated. Celestia and Bolt flew back.

 

Xeno kept cowering beside Luna, & started to cry softly

 

"I'm not convinced. That wasn't a real assault. They were scouting. It doesn't matter, though. Hopefully I scared them off." Bolt said to Celestia.
"Yes, hopefully. Luna and I can take care of things from here. Go get some rest." Celestia responded, nuzzling him.
Bolt walked over to Xeno and picked her up in his hooves, holding her while she cried. "Hey...shhh...It's okay...they're all gone." He said comfortingly

 

Xeno kept crying, & jumped when bolt touched her

 

"Let's go home..." Bolt said, carrying Xeno all the way home and through the bedroom window. He laid with her on the bed and held her, rocking her softly. "What's the matter, love?" He asked in an extremely concerned and slightly scared tone

 

Xeno was still crying, but less,"I-I don't want t-to talk ab-about it..."

 

Bolt kissed her head and kept holding her. "Okay. I'll make sure I don't ever take you near them again." Bolt said. "I'm really sorry. I didn't know they had this effect..."

 

"J-just, keep me away from ch-ch… y-you know...", Xeno said, still blushing

 

"Okay. Chances are I'll kill them all someday. Especially if they attack me or my territory. The moment they step into the Everfree or Ponyville is the moment they scream to die." He promised. "I won't even let you see them before they die. It'll be that fast."

 

"No! Y-you can't just commit genocide!"

 

"I can't? I'm perfectly capable. You saw what I did to Chrysalis. She can only match me if she has love to feed on." Bolt said. "But if you don't want me to, I won't. You want to go to Sugarcube Corner and get something sweet? Hopefully Pinkie doesn't recognize me." Bolt asked
