(That's fine, I'm not really following the storyline, more just taking cues from the books. If it helps, think of Wonderland like Discord's version of Ponyville; nothing's really fixed, and it doesn't have to make sense. The Red Queen is actually completely powerless here, and pocket-sized to boot; we're going to need her crown later though, so we have to deal with her in some way.) Discord tried to fly, but his wings simply took off without him and fluttered off. "I don't think so," He said, looking at Usagi. The Red Queen was still standing there, glaring at them.
Usagi turned around and didn't see the queen. She stepped around the around the area looking up, and wondered what happened to the giant.
"Stop that! Stop it I say! Your Queen commands you!" Squeaked the Red Queen, narrowly avoiding being stepped on by Usagi. She jabbed her tiny horn into Usagi's hoof.
Usagi bearly hears squeaking, but ignores the mousey still looking for the queen and stepping about. [Being that Usagi is a cyborg, even if she doesn't really look like one, her feet's sensitivity to pain has been turned down since she doesn't wear shoes. Since this is a normal part of her condition it hasn't changed. Gotta wonder why more ponies don't stub their feet.]
Discord snigered at the tiny Queen, but ultimately took pity on her, and plucked her out from under Usagi's stomping hooves. Dangling her by her tail, he took her crown and then dumped her in a nearby bird bath, much to the annoyance of a bathing blackbird. Discord examined the tiny crown, then put it on his finger as a ring. (I've always assumed ponies have tougher skin on their hooves, like on a dog's paw.)
The filly watched Discord put the queen in the bird bath and take the ring. "How did she get so small?"
Discord stroked his beard. "Perhaps she was under the impression that she was moving away from us, rather than towards? So she got smaller rather than bigger?"
"Well, we need to get to that tree!" Discord replied, and looked around. "Ah!" he said, noticing a garden gate behind him. Walking through it, they could see what lay between them and the tree-topped hill; on the one side, there way a railway, and on the other, a forest with a path running through it. Both seemed to lead to their goal. "Hmm, which do you prefer Usagi, train ride or walking in the woods?"
"We can can run, hop, skip or even cartwheel if you want, as long as we get there." Discord said, nodding. "And as long as you don't do any of that whilst holding scissors." He added, looking at her sternly.
The blue maned filly trie to pull out a pair of scissors just to spite Discord. Her power still didn't work. "Mommy lets me run with scissors. She says it's Ninja training. When I'm older I'll get to run with the sword Grimlock gave me."
"Well you shouldn't. Why do you think I've only got the one fang?" He shook his head sadly. Ponies never took his advice.
"Mommy said a the avatar you're not allowed to have buy ladder sin tree." She said that wrong. Still she knew Mr. Discord didn't really loose his fang by running with scissors. Mommy had mentioned that if she was a normal girl he'd never allow her to run with scissor. Kimitsu wasn't allowed to run with scissor.
"Uh huh." Discord said, raising an eyebrow, not really understanding what Usagi had said. "So, train or walking?" He asked, shifting between a train driver and hiking outfit.
"I want to run througtb the forest, but mommy says that Vashnarati live in forests. So the train." [Bilateral symitry, I've been waiting to use that line.]
"Train it is!" Discord declared, and took the path leading to the station; it was a quaint little place, with only one platform. Approaching the ticket booth, he handed over a ticket and received a bag of bits in return. After thanking the deer in the booth, they made their way onto the platform; the train hadn't arrived yet, so he took a seat on a bench, which promptly started walking around and muttering about being sat on. (Oh, I gotcha. Makes sense now.)
